Coudersport Volleyball Falls in PIAA Class 1A Semifinals to Greensburg Central Catholic

DUBOIS, Pa. – Mikayla Bisignani had 21 kills to lead a quartet of Greensburg Central Catholic players in double digits in kills, as the WPIAL champion Centurions beat District 9 champion Coudersport, 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-9, 25-23) in the PIAA Class 1A volleyball semifinals Tuesday night at DuBois High School.

Kennedy Johnston and Brittany Stawovy each added 11 points for Greensburg Central (28-1), who rallied from 8-1 down in the fourth set to end the match, while Savina Pavlik chipped in with 10 kills.

Ally Easton paced Coudersport (20-3) with nine kills, two block solos and two block assists. Kiara Perkins and EmmaRae Easton each added seven kills for the Lady Falcons, who were making their first PIAA semifinals appearance. Haley Keck ran the offense with 23 set assists, while Joplin Osgood had 45 digs and Ady Page 40 digs.

Greensburg Central Catholic (28-1) will face District 11 champion Marian Catholic in the PIAA Championship match at 11 a.m. Saturday at Richland High School in Johnstown.
