MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Otto-Eldred and Clarion volleyball teams are headed to DuBois High School and the Brockway boys and Karns City girls soccer teams are on their way to Slippery Rock High School for PIAA Quarterfinal action Saturday.
In Class 1A volleyball, D9 champion Otto-Eldred takes on District 10 champion Maplewood at 1 p.m. at DuBois High School followed by Clarion, the third-place team out of D9, facing District 6 champion Northern Cambria at 2:30 p.m. The winners of those two games will face each other in the semifinals Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.

In 1A boys’ soccer, Brockway, the D9 champion, will take on Springdale, the second-place team out of the WPIAL at 2 p.m. at Slippery Rock High, while the Karns City girls face District 10 champion Mercyhurst Prep at 4 p.m. in the 2A play also at Slippery Rock High.
The winner of the Brockway/Springdale game will play the winner of the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic/Mercer game in the semifinals Tuesday at a site and time to be determined, while the winner of the Karns City/Mercyhurst Prep contest will take on the winner of the Bedford/Waynesburg game Tuesday in the semifinals at a time and place to be determined.
