KANE 54, SHEFFIELD 45

SHEFFIELD – Freshman Trinity Clark had 16 points and 18 rebounds to lead Kane to a 50-38 AML win at Sheffield Wednesday night.

“It was a tough fought game,” Kane head coach Dave Kiehl said. “Sheffield is a veteran team with two big girls who are tough to defend. We are young, but we battled them for four quarters and led the whole game. I believe our largest lead was near the end, 50-38.”

Taylor Morgan added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the Wolves, while Camyrn Cummings had eight points and five steals, Emily Truden seven points and Sydney Dyne six.

“It was very much a team win,” Kiehl said. “The girls executed the game plan very well, and we cut our turnovers in half (14) from Monday and outrebounded them 39-34. Our team defensive did the job as well.”

Jen Isenberg paced Sheffield with 20 points, the only Wolverine in double digits.
