PORT ALLEGANY 40, RIDGWAY 32
PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Freshman Cailey Barnett scored a career-high 22 points to lead Port Allegany to a 40-32 win over visiting Ridgway.
Barnett hit five 3-pointers on her way to the career night.
Autumn Buchsenschutz was in foul trouble for the Lady Gators and was held to five points.
Emily Fullem paced Ridgway with 19 points, 13 rebounds, nine blocked shots and six steals.
BUCKTAIL 34, AUSTIN 20
AUSTIN, Pa. – Mario Donfrio scored 19 points to lead visiting Austin to a 34-20 win at Austin.
Jordan Brewer paced Austin with eight points.
HOLLIDAYSBURG 54, DUBOIS 40
DUBOIS, Pa. – After a couple of postponements and a rescheduled game, DuBois finally got its season underway Thursday.
But a tough second quarter cost the Lady Beavers in a 54-40 loss to visiting Hollidaysburg.
The Lady Tigers outscored DuBois 22-5 in the second quarter.
Katelyn Parsi scored eight of her 11 points in the second eight minutes for Hollidaysburg, who also got 10 points from McKenna Hurd and 15 from Sierra McClain.
Ashley Hallowell paced DuBois with 19 points and 18 rebounds.
