BOYS
DUBOIS 44, CENTRAL MOUNTAIN 43
MILL HALL, Pa. – Jonathan Cruz’s layup with eight seconds left lifted visiting DuBois to a 44-43 win over Central Mountain.
The Beavers trailed by 10, 36-26, going to the fourth quarter but outscored Central Mountain 18-7 in the final eight minutes to get the win.
Chase Husted scored 10 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter with Cruz scoring all five of his in the final period including hitting a big 3-pointers.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 84, BROCKWAY 45
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Alex Breindel led a balanced Elk County Catholic attack with 16 points, as the Crusaders picked up an 84-45 home AML victory over Brockway.
Carter Lindemuth added 14 points for ECC with Regis Wortman scoring 12 and Will Uberti 11.
Zane Puhala had 13 to lead Brockway with Alec Freeman adding 12.
DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 66, YOUNGSVILLE 45
DUBOIS, Pa. – Justin Miknis exploded for 29 points to give DuBois Central Catholic a 66-45 home win over Youngsville.
Josh Solnosky added nine points in the victory for the Cardinals.
Gage Hendrickson paced Youngsville with 12 points.
GIRLS
NORTHERN POTTER 35, BUCKTAIL 33
RENOVO, Pa. – Abbi Anderson scored eight of her game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter to help visiting Northern Potter rally past Bucktail, 35-33.
The Lady Panthers trailed 25-20 going to the fourth quarter but outscored the hosts 15-8 in the final eight minutes to get the win.
Courtney Martin chipped in seven points for Northern Potter.
