KANE 35, CAMERON COUNTY 32

KANE, Pa. – Thanks to a come-from-behind 35-32 win over visiting Cameron County Monday night, Kane thinned the ranks of the unbeaten by one for the second consecutive game.

The Lady Wolves (4-3) trailed 28-25 going to the final eight minutes but outscored the previously unbeaten Lady Raiders (4-1) 10-4 in the final stanza to pull out the victory.

“Another tough, hard-fought win,” Kane head coach Dave Kiehl said. “According to Greg Clark of the Bradford Era, we missed out first 12 shots, but we just kept battling even though we couldn’t hit the shot. Our defense and rebounding kept us in the game.”

Camryn Cummings paced Kane with 11 points and five rebounds, Taylor Morgan added seven points, eight boards and five assists, while Trinity Clark had six points and 15 rebounds.

“Emily Truden gave is a spark in the second quarter as well with seven points,” Kiehl said.

Thanks to the poor shooting at the start of the game by the Lady Wolves, Cameron County grabbed an 11-6 advantage after eight minutes.

But thanks to Truden, who scored all of her points in the second quarter including hitting Kane’s lone 3-pointer of the game, the Lady Wolves bounced back to take an 18-15 halftime lead.

Cameron County, tough, which got 11 points from Madison Harrier, retook the lead with a 13-7 third-quarter edge.
