SMETHPORT 47, GALETON 38
PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Morgan Okerlun scored 17 points and grabbed 18 rebounds Friday to lead Smethport to a 47-38 win over Galeton in the opening round of the Port Allegany Tournament.
The Lady Hubbers trailed 25-18 at halftime but outscored Galeton 29-13 in the second half including 12-4 in the third quarter to take the lead.
Rachael Duffy added 10 points for Smethport, while MiKaya Shadle led Galeton with 14 points and Latascia Shadle added 12.

NORTH CLARION 44, KANE 34
KANE — Visiting North Clarion blanked host Kane 13-0 in the third quarter and won their opening-round matchup, 44-34, at the Kane Christmas Tournament Friday night.
Abbie Schmader scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Tori Obenrader finished with 11 points, 18 rebounds and seven steals.
With the win, North Clarion moved to 7-1 on the season, surpassing last year’s win total before New Year’s Day and matching the win total from the last two years combined. It is the most wins for North Clarion since it had 14 in 2010.
North Clarion trailed 28-21 at halftime but shutout Kane (4-4) 13-0 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
The She-Wolves will play Clarion in Saturday’s championship game while Kane meets Eisenhower in the consolation game.
