BROCKWAY 67, DUBOIS 46

DUBOIS, Pa. – Zane Puhala scored a career-high 19 points, including 15 after halftime, as Brockway avenged a loss to DuBois earlier in the season with a 67-46 win over the Beavers in the championship game of the DuBois Holiday Tournament.

Brockway led by nine, 44-35, going to the fourth quarter before outscoring the Beavers 23-11 in the fourth quarter behind eight points from Puhala.

Carter Adams added 14 points for the Rovers with Jarrett Esposito chipping in 11 and Andrew Trunzo nine.

Nick LaBrasca had a double-double for DuBois with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Bryce Bright also scored 13 points and Kenny Garvey 11.

BROOKVILLE 62, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 55

DUBOIS, Pa. – A strong second half helped Brookville to a 62-55 come-from-behind victory over DuBois Central Catholic in the consolation game of the DuBois Holiday Tournament.

The Raiders trailed by two, 24-22, at halftime but outscored the Cardinals 40-31 in the second half including 26-21 in the third quarter.

Colton Singleton led Brookville with 14 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, while Trenton Gilhousen scored eight of his 12 points in the third quarter. Aaron Park and Jimmy Moore each added eight tallies with Ben Reitz scoring all six of his points in the decisive third quarter.

Brandon Walker paced DCC with 14 points. Austen Cogley added 11, Justin Miknis 10 and Noah Pettenati nine.

PORT ALLEGANY 31, SMETHPORT 29

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Behind 14 points from Brandon McCaslin, Port Allegany held off Smethport, 31-29, to win the Port Allegany Christmas Tournament.

David Talkington added nine points for the Gator, who led 19-13 at halftime and 26-20 after three quarters.

Caleb Lutz scored eight points to pace Smethport.

GALETON 44, AUSTIN 34

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Evan Brooks scored seven of his game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter to help Galeton pull away from Austin for a 44-34 victory in the consolation game of the Port Allegany Christmas Tournament.

The Tigers led by three, 28-25, after three quarters but outscored Austin 16-9 in the fourth quarter.

Isiah Shuemaker added 11 points for Galeton, while Mason Valenti had 11 points and Blake Burgett 10 for Austin.

KANE 63, YOUNGSVILLE 39

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Freshman Chad Greville poured in 20 points to lead Kane to a 63-39 win over Youngsville in the opening round of the Sheffield Sports Boosters Christmas Tournament.

Greville scored 18 of his points in the fourth quarter on six 3-pointers.

Andrew Bucheit added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolves despite missing most of the second quarter with a tweaked ankle. He returned in the second half.

Brady Kesterholt led Youngsville with 17 points.

Kane meets Sheffield in the title game Wednesday with Youngsville facing Union in the consolation game.

SHEFFIELD 65, UNION 54

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Roger and Matt Dunham combined for 15 third-quarter points, as Sheffield rallied past Union, 65-54, in the opening round of the Sheffield Boosters Christmas Tournament.

The Wolverines trailed 24-23 at halftime but outscored the Golden Knights 27-12 in the third quarter.

Roger Dunham led Sheffield with 16 points, including eight in the third quarter, while Matt Dunham scored seven of his 11 points in the third frame. Drew Higby also scored 11 tallies for the Wolverines.

Lucas Bowser led Union with 24 points with Gavin Hawk adding 13.

Sheffield meets Kane in Wednesday’s title game with Union taking on Youngsville in the consolation contest.

KEYSTONE 70, CRANBERRY 28

SENECA, Pa. – Dalton Jones, Corey Rapp and Nate Wingard combined to score 42 points to lead visiting Keystone to a 70-28 win over Cranberry in non-conference action.

Jones led the way for the Panthers with 16 points with Rapp and Wingard each adding 13 points.

Nolan Brannon scored seven points to pace Cranberry with Cameron Daugherty adding six.

EAST ALLEGHENY 61, MONITEAU 34

CHESWICK, Pa. – Despite 18 combined points from Jake Jewart and Lake Pry, Moniteau fell to East Allegheny, 61-34, in the opening round of the Deer Lakes Christmas Tournament.

Jewart scored 10 for the Warriors with Pry adding eight.

T.J. Banks led East Allegheny with 15 points, Ola Owens added 14 tallies for the Wildcats.

Moniteau faces Perry in the consolation game Wednesday while East Allegheny takes on Deer Lakes in the title game.
