UNION 41, CAMERON COUNTY 36

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Trailing by 11 early in the fourth quarter, Union went on a game-ending 19-3 run to stun visiting Cameron County, 41-36, in the championship game of the Union Christmas Tournament.

Relisten to the game:

Freshman Dominika Logue took over the game in the final eight minutes scoring nine of her 14 points while adding three of her nine rebounds and dishing out two assists.

She scored six of the eight points and handed out an assist during an 8-0 run that turned a 33-22 deficit into just a three-point game, 33-30, with 4:14 to play.

Logue then tied the game on a steal and a basket with 2:19 left before assisting on the go-ahead bucket by Bryn Davis with 2:01 left.

Logue talked about the win.

Davis added 11 points, including five in the fourth quarter.

Alyvia McKimm and Kaelee Bresslin each scored 10 points for Cameron County with Hailey Hilfiger grabbing a game-high 16 rebounds to go with one point. Laila Smith chipped in eight rebounds and six points.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 57, SHEFFIELD 27

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Mady Craig scored a game-high 16 points to lead Clarion-Limestone to a 57-27 win over Sheffield in the consolation game of the Union Christmas Tournament.

Anna Kennemuth added nine points for the Lady Lions with Francis Milliron scoring eight.

Marissa Grubbs paced Sheffield with eight points.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 35, MARION CENTER 25

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Behind 13 points from Riley Presloid Punxsutawney won the Carl Truance Tournament at Punxsutawney with a 35-25 win over Marion Center.

Kate Horner added seven points for the Lady Chucks with Sarah Weaver contributing six.

HAZLETON 62, MONITEAU 41

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Marissa Trivelpiece scored 15 points to lead Hazleton past Moniteau, 62-41, in the consolation game of the Carl Truance Tournament at Punxsutawney.

Faith Grula added 10 points in the win.

Kristin Auvil’s 17 points paced Moniteau with Ivie Scott adding eight tallies and Aslyn Pry three points and eight rebounds.

BROOKVILLE 59, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 35

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – All-tournament selections Morgan Johnson, Marcy Schindler and Madison Johnson each scored in double figures to lead Brookville to a 59-35 win over DuBois Central Catholic in the final of the Brookville Holiday Tournament.

Morgan Johnson and Schindler each scored 12 points with Johnson earned the tournament MVP award. Madison Johnson finished with 11 points. Schindler added nine rebounds.

Brookville led 18-13 after the first quarter, then used a 17-4 run to start the second and pull away for good. The Lady Raiders led by as many as 30 points in the fourth quarter.

Martina Swalligan came off the bench to score 10 points for DCC. Ashley Wruble, the Lady Cardinals’ all-tournament pick, finished with nine points.

DUBOIS 40, BROCKWAY 29

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Building a big first-half lead, DuBois jumped out early and beat Brockway, 40-29, in the consolation game of the Brookville Holiday Tournament.

DuBois led 25-9 at halftime and led by as many as 18 points in the third quarter before Brockway rallied to within eight points late in the fourth quarter.

All-tournament pick Chelsea DeSalve led DuBois with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Madi Smith scored eight points while Taylor Smith had six points and 13 rebounds.

Danielle Wood scored 14 points and was the Lady Rovers’ all-tournament player. Selena Buttery added six points and eight rebounds.

HARBOR CREEK 58, CRANBERRY 31

SENECA, Pa. – Alison Benim scored 19 points to lead Harbor Creek to a 58-31 win over Cranberry in the championship game of the Don Hall Memorial Tournament at Cranberry.

Latisha Baker added 12 points for the Lady Huskies.

Malliah Schreck had a double-double for Cranberry with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

KEYSTONE 48, FRANKLIN 28

SENECA, Pa. – McKenzie Hovis netted 15 points to lead Keystone to a 48-28 win over Franklin in the consolation game of the Don Hall Memorial Tournament at Cranberry.

Emily Lauer chipped in 11 points for the Lady Panthers.

Zelika Hartle led Franklin with eight points.

JOHNSONBURG 39, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 29

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Maria Jones netted a game-best 18 points to lead Johnsonburg to a 39-29 win over Elk County Catholic in the opening round of the Elk County Tournament at St. Marys High School.

Cassidy King added 13 points for the Ramettes.

Sady VanAlstine had a team-high 12 points on four 3-pointers for ECC.

ST. MARYS 41, RIDGWAY 26

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Allison Schlimm and Kaylee Muccio combined for 23 points to pace a 41-26 St. Marys win over Ridgway in the opening round of the Elk County Tournament at St. Marys.

Schlimm led the Lady Dutch with 13 points while hitting three 3-pointers with Muccio contributing 10 tallies.

Casey Woodford had nine points and seven rebounds to lead Ridgway with Christina Fullem adding eight points and four boards.

NORTH CLARION 54, KANE 46

KANE, Pa. – Mackenzie Bauer scored a career-high 19 points to lead North Clarion past Kane, 54-46, in the championship game of the Kane Christmas Tournament.

Abby Gatesman added 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals for the She-Wolves.

North Clarion hit 15 of 18 free throws in the contest including 7 of 8 in the fourth quarter.

Ella Marconi had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Kane with Hannah Buhl dishing out five assists and coming away with four steals.

CLARION 62, EISENHOWER 41

KANE, Pa. – Led by 13 points from KK Girvin, Clarion had four players score between 11 and 13 points in a 62-41 win over Eisenhower in the consolation game of the Kane Christmas Tournament.

Jordan Best and Kait Constantino each added 12 points for the Lady Cats with Ali Troese scoring 11.

Lydia Giannini led Eisenhower with 20 points with Emiley Wheeler adding 10.

A-C VALLEY 49, MERCER 27

MERCER, Pa. -Behind 17 points from Andrea Meals, A-C Valley knocked off Mercer, 49-27, in the consolation game of the Mercer Christmas Tournament.

Olivia Boocks added 10 points and Kylee Eaton and Rachel Cullen seven each for the Lady Falcons.

WARREN 52, KARNS CITY 13

OIL CITY, Pa. – Racing out to a 26-0 lead, Warren cruised to a 52-13 win over Karns City on the second day of the Oil City Christmas Classic.

Margo Loutzenhiser led the Lady Dragons with 18 points.

Ashley Crispen paced Karns City with six points.

FREEPORT 63, REDBANK VALLEY 36

RURAL VALLEY, Pa. – Sidney Shemanski scored 18 points to lead Freeport past Redbank Valley, 63-36, in the championship game of the West Shamokin Christmas Tournament.

Samantha Clark added 15 points and Hasley Holloway 14 for the Yellow Jackets.

Tara Hinderliter had a team-high 16 points for Redbank Valley.

GALETON 45, NORTH PENN-LIBERTY 30

CANTON, Pa. – Haylee Lundington and Katelyn Pagano combined for 25 points to lead Galeton to a 45-30 win over North Penn-Liberty in the consolation game of the Canton Tournament.

Ludington had 13 points for the Lady Tigers with Pagano adding 12.

Eva Rice scored eight points for North Penn-Liberty.

BUCKTAIL 53, AUSTIN 29

RENOVO, Pa. – Emily Cross scored 21 points to lead Bucktail past visiting Austin, 53-29.

Myka Poorman added 15 points for the Lady Bucks.

Angie Watson had nine points for Austin.
