ST. MARYS 49, KEYSTONE 44, OVERTIME

KNOX, Pa. – Trailing by eight in the fourth quarter, St. Marys rallied to send the game to overtime and then outscored Keystone by five in the extra session to pull out a 49-44 win in the opening round of the Keystone Tip-off Tournament.

After rallying to tie the game at 39 late in regulation, the Dutch were down 41-39 with under a minute to play when they got a steal and a layup from Cahil Parrish to tie the game at 41.

Then in overtime, Parrish, who scored 15 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, scored six of St. Marys eight points to secure the win.

Parrish, who was named the Hager Paving Player of the Game, talked about the victory.

Luke Lasko added eight points for St. Marys, who also got seven from Bryce Walker.

Andrew Lauer and Brandon Pierce each scored nine points for Keystone with Troy Johnson adding seven.

DUBOIS 65, CLARION 50

KNOX, Pa. – Behind a game-best 23 points from Chase Husted DuBois beat Clarion, 65-50, in the opening round of the Keystone Tip-off Tournament.

Jordin Summers added 11 points for the Beavers who also got nine tallies from Nick Felix.

Cal German paced Clarion with 17 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, with Josh Craig adding 10 and Hunter Craddock nine.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 53, FORT LEBOEUF 45, OVERTIME

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Curvin Goheen hit a 3-pointer in overtime, and Clarion-Limestone went 7 of 8 from the line in the extra session to get a 53-45 win over Fort LeBoeuf on the first day of the Grove City Tip-off Tournament.

The game was tied at 43 going to the extra session, but C-L outscored the Bison, 10-2, in overtime.

Deion Deas had a game-high 25 points while adding six rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Lions, while Hayden Callen added 15 points, five steals and three blocked shots before fouling out of the game in the fourth quarter. Goheen contributed a team-best 10 rebounds and scored six points, while Mitch Knepp had two points and six rebounds.

Joe Riley and Brandon Drayer each scored 11 points for Fort LeBoeuf.

RIDGWAY 51, CAMERON COUNTY 49

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Matt Dush scored six of his game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter, as Ridgway rallied for a 51-49 road win at Cameron County.

The Elkers trailed 42-37 going to the fourth quarter but outscored the Red Raiders 14-7 in the final eight minutes to get the win.

Zack Zameroski added 18 points for Ridgway with Dan Park scoring eight.

Dino Brown paced Cameron County with 14 points, Hayden Brown scored 11, Caden Belin added 10 and Dylan Guisto nine.

BROOKVILLE 86, ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC ACADEMY 39

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Piling up 51 points in the first half, Brookville hammered out an 86-39 rout of St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy in the second game of the Brookville Tip-off Tournament Friday night.

While David Cable was the lone Raider to reach double figures with 16 points, 10 other players found the scoring column. Aaron Park and Logan Byerly each scored nine points with Park grabbing nine rebounds and Byerly finishing with eight. Jack Krug, Jace Miner and Hunter Geer each scored eight points. Robert Keth, Bryce Baughman and Griffin Ruhlman all scored seven points.

The Raiders led 28-9 after the first quarter, 51-19 by halftime and reached the PIAA Mercy Rule’s running clock margin of 40 points at 73-33 with 6:19 left in the fourth quarter.

Brendan Scanlon led St. Joe’s with 23 points.

WARREN 67, BROCKWAY 41

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – In the first game of the Brookville Tip-off Tournament, Warren used a 21-3 second-quarter surge to pull away with a 67-41 win over Brockway Friday night.

The Dragons shot over 61 percent from the field (30-for-49) and rallied in the second quarter after trailing 19-11 late in the first quarter. Ben Berdine scored 10 of his game-high 24 points in the second quarter and wound up draining 11 of 12 shots from the floor. Thomas Bablak scored 13 points.

Brockway’s Alec Freemer led the Rovers with 19 points while Jon Wood finished with nine points.

UNION 61, COMMODORE PERRY 30

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Karter Vogle and Luke Bowser combined for 23 points to lead Union to a 61-30 victory over Commodore Perry in the opening round of the Union Tip-off Classic giving head coach Brent Saylor his first varsity win.

Vogle led the Golden Knights with 13 points while Bowser added 10 points, four rebounds and a pair of assists. Layton Stewart grabbed four offensive rebounds while adding eight points and Caden Rainey chipped in seven points, four rebounds and two assists. Trumon Vereb had a team-high six rebounds.

Hunter Artman paced the Panthers with 10 points while Karson Cropp netted eight.

MONITEAU 58, MAPLEWOOD 34

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Moniteau used a balanced team effort to top Maplewood, 58-34, in the opening round of the Union Tip-off Classic.

Quinton Seliven led the Warriors with a double-double racking up 12 points and 10 rebounds with Ethan McDeavitt netting nine points. Gage Neal and Nate Tack each added seven points while Cory McKinley scored six.

For Maplewood, Joel Cox had eight points.

PORT ALLEGANY 72, JAMESTOWN (PA.) 56

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Howie Stuckey exploded for 33 points including six three-pointers to lead Port Allegany past Jamestown, 72-56, in the first round of the Sheffield Sports Boosters Tip-off Classic.

Jordan Card added 26 points for the Gators with A.J. Edgell chipping in six.

Darian Keyser paced Jamestown with a team-high 26 points while Cameron Keyser added 11.

NORTH CLARION 69, SHEFFIELD 20

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Matson Higgins recorded a career-high 23 points to lead North Clarion past Sheffield, 69-20, in the opening round of the Sheffield Sports Boosters Tip-off Classic.

Higgins also recorded five assists and four steals for the Wolves. Drew Gatesman grabbed 10 rebounds while scoring eight while Devon Walters chipped in 11 points and five assists.

Jake Vinepal paced Sheffield with eight points.

TITUSVILLE 96, CRANBERRY 52

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Elijah Perez, Elijah Colon and Guy Anthony combined for 68 points as Titusville earned a 96-52 victory over Cranberry in the opening round of the Roy Sanner Memorial Tip-Off Classic at Rocky Grove.

Colon had a game-high 27 points including five three-pointers. Perez added 21 points and Anthony had 20. Ethan Roberts and Laird Stover each had seven points.

Matt McQuaide paced the Berries with 21 points while JT Stahlman chipped in 16.

ROCKY GROVE 77, VENANGO CATHOLIC 25

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Isaac Clayton, Dustin McMullen and Gabe Francic each scored in double digits to lead Rocky Grove to a 77-25 win over Venango Catholic in the opening round of the Roy Sanner Memorial Tip-off Classic at Rocky Grove.

Isaac Clayton had 12 points with Francic and McMullen each scoring 10 points for the Orioles, who also got nine points from Zac Clayton.

Andrew Burda had a game-high 15 points while adding five rebounds and four steals for Venango Catholic, while Brady Cicatella chipped in four points and nine boards.

YOUNGSVILLE 70, REDBANK VALLEY 55

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Despite 24 points and six three-pointers from Bryson Bain, Redbank Valley fell to Youngsville, 70-55, in the first round of the Redbank Valley Tip-off Tournament.

Gage Hickerson led Youngsville with a team-high 23 points while Braclun Olewine scored 20. Joe Mack added 15 points with Dominic Dell and Ethan Kesterholt each netting six.

Chris Marshall added 19 points for the Bulldogs.

NORTHERN POTTER 63, OSWAYO VALLEY 38

COWANESQUE, Pa. – Twenty-six points and 13 rebounds from Carter Anderson helped Northern Potter top Oswayo Valley, 68-38, in the opening round of the Jack Bush Tournament at Cowanesque Valley.

Tre Slawson added in 15 points for the Panthers. Erza Sprow grabbed 10 rebounds while scoring six points. AJ Lehman went 5-for-7 at the line with a field goal to finish with nine points.

Caiden Black paced the Green Wave with 10 points. Gunner Bean added nine points while Noah Wichert, Carter Stedman and Hanor Gross each had four.

KARNS CITY 70, PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN 46

FOXBURG, Pa. – Chase Beighley scored 22 points to help Karns City to a 70-46 win over Portersville Christian in the Hoops for Heroes Kickoff at A-C Valley.

Micah Rupp and Ethan McElroy each added 16 points for the Gremlins.

Christian Kauffman had a game-high 24 points for Portersville Christian.

A-C VALLEY 53, NORTH EAST 48

FOXBURG, Pa. – Levi Orton scored 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead A-C Valley to a 53-48 over North East in the Hoops for Heroes Kickoff at A-C Valley.

Eddie Stevanus added 10 points, seven rebounds and six steals for the Falcons with Russ Carr scoring 10 points and adding seven rebounds.

Carter Hasseplug had 17 points for North East.

MARION CENTER 71, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 60

DUBOIS, Pa. – Connor Fairman had 17 points to lead Marion Center to a 71-60 win over DuBois Central Catholic in the opening round of the DCC Tip-off Tournament.

Colin Fox added 15 points for the Stingers with Marcus Padzik chipped in 14 points.

Daunte Armanini led DCC with 12 points, Parker Meholick added 11 points with Ethan Kness and Damon Foster each scoring nine points.

JOHNSONBURG 62, PUNXSUTAWNEY 45

DUBOIS, Pa. – Cam Stelene and Austin Green combined for 33 points to lead Johnsonburg to a 62-45 win over Punxsutawney in the opening round of the DuBois Central Catholic Tip-off Tournament.

Stelene led the Rams with 17 points with Green adding 16.

Nick Humble led Punxsutawney with 13 points with Ethan Presloid adding 10.

FOREST AREA 42, TIDIOUTE CHARTER 27

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Noah Burke scored 12 points to help Forest Area to a 42-27 win over Tidioute Charter on the opening day of the Forest Area Tip-off Tournament at East Forest.

Allen Johnston added nine points for the Fires with Jacon Eddy chipping in six points and 12 rebounds.

Derek Klos (19 points) and Dalton Kennedy (eight points) scored all the points for Tidioute Charter.

WILLIAMSON 61, AUSTIN 52

GALETON, Pa. – Kolby Allen and Carter Strang combined to score 50 points to lift Williamson to a 61-52 win over Austin in the first round of the Galeton Tip-off Tournament.

Allen had a game-high 29 points with Strang adding 21.

Jackson Glover paced Austin with 18 points and eight rebounds. Parker Glover added 10 points and Joseph Glover Jr., Skylar Crawford and Caden Rees each scored eight points.

CANTON 73, GALETON 21

GALETON, Pa. – Ben Knapp had 12 points as Canton got scoring from 12 players in a 73-21 win over Galeton in the opening round of the Galeton Tip-off Tournament.

Reese Allen also added 10 points for the victors.

Ty Stover scored 10 points for Galeton with Noah Shott adding nine.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 76, KANE30

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Regis Wortman exploded for 20 points as Elk County Catholic defeated visiting Kane, 76-30, in the AML opener for both teams.

Wortman was also 7-for-8 from the free-throw line for the Crusaders. Mark Kraus netted 11 points while Carter Lindemuth added nine with a pair of three-pointers. Leo Gregory chipped in eight points and Isaac Wortman and Mason McAllister each had seven.

Mason Zuzek and Chad Greville each had eight points to pace the Wolves.

CLEARFIELD 82, CURWENSVILLE 31

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Cade Walker had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds while assisting four and stealing four to lead visiting Clearfield to an 82-31 victory over Curwensville.

Karson Rumsky added 18 points and five rebounds for the Bison while Kandyn Hudson chipped in nine. Luke Winters, Matt Pallo and Harrison Peacock each had six points.

Scott Condon paced the Tide with 12 points with Ty Terry adding seven with a pair of three-pointers.
