BROOKVILLE 47, NORTH CLARION 37

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville used a balanced effort to end North Clarion’s long regular-season and District 9 win streaks with a 47-37 win over the visiting She-Wolves in the championship game of the Brookville Tip-off Tournament.

Morgan Johnson and Kira Powell each scored 10 points for the Lady Raiders, who handed North Clarion its first regular-season loss and first loss against a D9 opponent since a 65-64 loss to Jan. 20, 2017, at A-C Valley. The She-Wolves had won 31 in a row in the regular season and 36 in a row against District 9 teams.

Marcy Schindler added seven points and 14 rebounds for Brookville with Lexis Hatzinkolas chipping in nine points and Madison Johnson eight points.

Schindler talked about the victory.

Gabby Carll paced North Clarion with 12 points with Abby Gatesman adding eight points and 13 rebounds and Haley Sherman six points and 11 boards.

REDBANK VALLEY 57, BROCKWAY 34

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Kelsie Elmer and Tara Hinderliter each scored 16 points to lead visiting Redbank Valley to a 57-34 win over Brockway in the consolation game of the Brockway Tip-off Tournament.

Kaitleyn Davis added 11 points in the win for the Lady Bulldogs.

Morgan Lindemuth paced Brockway with 15 points with Selena Buttery adding 13.

WESTMONT-HILLTOP 63, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 29

MARION CENTER, Pa. – A balanced offensive effort helped Westmont-Hilltop to a 63-29 win over DuBois Central Catholic in the consolation game of the Marion Center Tip-off Tournament.

Lauren Lavis paced the Hilltoppers with 12 points with Riley Shriver and Maddie Brandt each adding 11 and Sydney Droz 10.

Abbey Pettenati had seven points to pace DCC with Jordy Kosko and Alyssa Bittner each adding six points.

REYNOLDS 35, RIDGWAY 28

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Chloe McLaughlin, Halle Murcko and Isabella McCollum combined for 24 points to lead Reynolds to a 35-28 win over Ridgway on the second day of the Union Tip-off Classic.

Murcko scored a team-high nine points with McLaughlin adding eight and McCollum seven.

Alyssa Kasmierski paced Ridgway with a game-high 10 points with Gabbi Rohr adding eight.

WEST MIDDLESEX 47, A-C VALLEY 30

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Makennah White exploded for 28 points to lead host West Middlesex to a 47-30 win over A-C Valley in the West Middlesex Tournament.

Kylee Eaton led A-C Valley with 11 points, Cami McNany added 10.

CENTRAL-MARTINSBURG 45, BRADFORD 36

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. – Behind 15 Jenna Mack points, Central-Martinsburg topped Bradford, 45-36, in the consolation game of the Hollidaysburg Tip-off Tournament.

Erica Marshall and Hannah Lary combined for 26 of Bradford’s points with Marshall scoring 14 and Lary 12.

SHEFFIELD 21, YOUNGSVILLE 20

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Despite not scoring a fourth-quarter field goal, Sheffield held on for a 21-20 win over Youngsville in the consolation game of the Sheffield Sports Boosters Tip-off Tournament.

Down one, Youngsville had a chance to win the game when Sheffield turned the ball over with 9.3 seconds left. But the Lady Eagles weren’t able to capitalize, as a tipped pass was followed by a last-second shot that fell short.

Rosemary Nelson paced Sheffield with seven points and five rebounds with Emily Leichtenberger adding two points, 13 rebounds and three steals.

Sadie Hoffman had 13 points for Youngsville.

ARCHBISHOP WALSH 49, OSWAYO VALLEY 44

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Grace Greer exploded for 38 points while hitting nine 3-pointers to lead visiting Archbishop Walsh to a 49-44 win over Oswayo Valley.

The win broke a 49-game losing streak for the Eagles.

Karina West and Faith Coole each scored 16 points for Oswayo Valley.

PORT ALLEGANY 36, MERCER 33

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Bree Garzel 13 scored 13 points and hauled in seven rebounds to lead Port Allegany to the championship of the Sheffield Booster’s Tip-off Tournament thanks to a 36-33 win over Mercer.

Cailey Barnett added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Gators with Erin Stauffer contributing seven points and three assists.

Darby Miller’s 18 points for Mercer led all scorers

UNION 40, COMMODORE PERRY 25

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Maggie Minick scored 17 points to lead Union to a 40-25 win over visiting Commodore Perry on the second day of the Union Tip-off Classic.

Dominika Logue added 14 points for the Golden Damsels.

JOHNSONBURG 51, KANE45

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – A strong night from Cassidy King helped Johnsonburg defeat visiting Kane, 51-45, in the championship game of the Johnsonburg Tip-Off Tournament.

King led all Ramette scorers with 25 points. Maria Jones netted 10 points with Amanda Williams and Rylee Casilio chipping in for six apiece.

Ella Marconi paced the Lady Wolves with 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists and Emily Bucheit tallied 16 points.

MOHAWK 48, MONITEAU 38

MOON, Pa. – Despite six 3-pointers in a 19-point effort from Kristen Auvil, Moniteau fell to Mohawk, 48-38, in the consolation game of the Moon Tip-Off Tournament.

Paige Julian had a game-high 20 points for Mohawk with Hannah McDanel chipping in for 13.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 40, MARION CENTER 27

MARION CENTER, Pa. – Twenty-four combined points from Kate Horner and Sarah Weaver helped visiting Punxsutawney defeat Marion Center, 40-27, in the championship game of the Marion Center Tournament.

Horner had three 3-pointers and a total of 13 points for the Lady Chucks and Weaver netted 11. Sophie Wyant and Riley Presloid each tallied six.

WILLIAMSON 39, AUSTIN 21

GALETON, Pa. – Emylee Yusko went off for 15 points to help Williamson defeat Austin, 39-21, in the consolation game of the Galeton Tournament.

Kendra Valenti paced Austin with 12 points.

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 69, KEYSTONE 39

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Malia Magestro exploded for 44 points to lead Kennedy Catholic to a 69-39 win over Keystone in the consolation game of the Slippery Rock Tip-off Tournament.

Bellah DiNardo added 18 points for the Golden Eagles.

McKenzie Hovis paced Keystone with 18 tallies.

ST. MARYS 48, COUDERSPORT 29

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Megan Quesenberry tickled the twine for a game-high 25 points to help St. Marys win the consolation game of the Johnsonburg Tip-off Tournament with a 48-29 win over Coudersport.

Kyla Johnson added 12 points in the win for the Lady Dutch.

Shae Black paced Coudersport with 13 points.

GALETON 54, BUCKTAIL 28

GALETON, Pa. – Katelyn Pagano scored 20 points and dished out six assists to lead Galeton to the championship of its tip-off tournament with a 54-28 win over Bucktail.

Cara Parsell added nine points and 12 rebounds in the win for the Lady Tigers.

CRANBERRY 51, LAKEVIEW 39

ROCKY GROVE, Pa. – Malliah Schreck and Ava Ferringer combined for 35 points as Cranberry won the Roy Sanner Memorial Tip-off Tournament at Rocky Grove with a 51-39 win over Lakeview.

Schreck scored a game-high 18 points for the Berries with Ferringer chipping in 17 tallies.

Jensen Troy had 11 points to lead Lakeview.

CLEARFIELD 58, CLARION-LIMESTONE 30

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Behind a monster game from Alayna Ryan, Clearfield nearly doubled up Clarion-Limestone, 58-30, in the consolation game of the Brookville Tip-off Tournament.

Ryan scored 28 points, grabbed 10 steals, handed out nine assists and hauled in seven rebounds in the victory.

Megan Durandetta chipped in nine points on three 3-pointers for the Lady Bison.

Anna Burns paced C-L with seven points.

DUBOIS 42, CLARION 25

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Chelsea DeSalve scored 22 points to lift DuBois to the Brockway Tip-off Tournament title with a 42-25 win over Clarion.

Olivia Johnson added 10 points for the Lady Beavers.

Wendy Beveridge paced Clarion with nine tallies.
