Clarion 63, Forest Area 35 Click for Box Score (Clarion Stats only) JOHNSONBURG 49, SHEFFIELD 46 By Rich Quiggle Johnsonburg - The Johnsonburg Ramettes picked up a hard fought, come from behind win Tuesday night in their home and season opener, a 49-46 win over the Sheffield Lady Wolverines. The Ramettes (1-0, 1-0 AML) trailed for most of the game, including twice by double digits. Sheffield (1-2, 0-1 AML) opened up their biggest lead of the game, 43-32, early in the final quarter. From there, the Ramettes outscored the Lady Wolverines 17-3 to pick up the win. Nicole Myers led the late game surge, scoring 9 of her game high 20 points in the final 5:25 of the game. Oliva Perez-McGill and McKenna Rowles both pitched in 4 points down the stretch for the winners. Rowles points included two free throws with 11 seconds remaining to seal the victory. After Myers 20 points, the Ramettes were led by Ashley Imbrogno's 12 points, Rowles finished with 10 tallies. Perez McGill finished with 4 points and Taylor Wolfe rounded out the scoring with 3 marks. For Sheffield, Jen Isenberg, fresh of scoring the 1000th point of her career on Saturday in the Sheffield Tip-Off Tournament, finished with 20 points. Mariah Fitzgerald added 11 points and Tierra Hanson totaled 7 points. Jade Moore and Abby Cromwell rounded out the Lady Wolverines scoring, tallying 6 and 2 points respectively. Game notes: First year head coach Ellie Kojancic picked up the first win of her career. The Ramettes shot 33% from the field and 29% from the free throw line for the night.Johnsonburg won despite turning the ball over 42 times.Emily Dillinger saw her first varsity minutes.
