CLEARFIELD 64, CLARION-LIMESTONE 22

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Alayna Ryan scored a game-high 26 points to lead Clearfield to a 64-22 win over Clarion-Limestone in the opening round of the Brookville Tip-off Tournament.

Ryan talked about the victory.

The Lady Bison led 18-0 before allowing a C-L shot and built a 36-10 halftime lead.

Brooke Cline chipped in with 12 points for Clearfield with Nicollette Brossard adding eight points and seven rebounds and Ally Lindstrom eight points. Tesa Miller had a team-high eight rebounds.

Paige Aaron paced C-L with 10 points and five rebounds. Anna Burns had a game-high nine rebounds, while Morgan Clark added eight boards and three points.

Clearfield will face North Clarion in Saturday’s title game, while C-L plays Brookville in the consolation contest.

NORTH CLARION 59, BROOKVILLE 40

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Tori Obenrader had 20 points and 16 rebounds despite missing nearly nine minutes in the first half with two fouls, as North Clarion rolled to a 59-40 win over Brookville in the opening round of the Brookville Tip-off Tournament.

Michaela Higgins added 15 points for the She-Wolves while hitting four 3-pointers. Cassie Wagner and Ally Carll were also strong on the boards with Wagner grabbing 12 rebounds to go with six points and Carll 10 boards to go with two points.

Higgins discussed the win after the game.

Marcy Schindler led Brookville with eight points, while Madison McAnnich and Brooke Shattenberg each had seven.

North Clarion will face Clearfield in Saturday’s championship game, while Brookville takes on C-L in the consolation game.

OSWAYO VALLEY 45, ARCHBISHOP WALSH (NY) 31

OLEAN, N.Y. – Shayla Bicket scored 21 points to lead visiting Oswayo Valley to a 45-31 win over Archbishop Walsh (N.Y.).

Sarah Malogrino chipped in 12 points for the Green Wave with Abby Matthews grabbing 10 rebounds.

GLENDALE 37, CURWENSVILLE 27

FLINTON, Pa. – Meghan Knepps scored 11 points and Meghan McClellan added eight, as Glendale topped visiting Curwensville, 37-27, in Moshannon Valley League action.

Madison Weber led Curwensville with a game-high 12 points, while Hannah Dixon added 10. Christine Limbert grabbed 14 rebounds and Nikki Wormuth 11 boards for the Lady Tide.

JOHNSONBURG 45, CAMERON COUNTY 34

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Nicole Myers and Skylar Sherry combined for 29 points, as visiting Johnsonburg beat Cameron County, 45-34.

Myers led the Ramettes with 16 points and Sherry added 13.

Maddison Harrier tied Myers with game-high honors scoring 16 for the Lady Raiders.

KANE 56, OTTO-ELDRED 38

KANE, Pa. – Trinity Clark, Ella Marconi and Rachel Morgan all reached double figures, as Kane beat visiting Otto-Eldred, 56-38.

Clark led the Lady Wolves with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Marconi added 15 points and 10 rebounds and Morgan 14 points and 10 boards. Camryn Cummings dished out seven assists.

Camryn Thomas paced Otto with 10 points.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 58, REDBANK VALLEY 45

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Riley Assalone had a game-high 20 points, as DuBois Central Catholic beat Redbank Valley, 58-45, in the opening round of the Brockway Tip-off Tournament.

Jordy Frank added 14 points for the Lady Cardinals, who will play Brockway in Saturday’s title game.

Macy King led Redbank Valley with 13 points with Lexi Holt and Maddy Marshall each adding 11. King and Marshall each had nine rebounds as well for the Lady Bulldogs, who play Clarion in Saturday’s consolation contest.

BROCKWAY 44, CLARION 28

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Behind 33 combined points from Leah Lindemuth and Kaitlyn Morelli, Brockway beat Clarion, 44-28, in the opening round of the Brockway Tip-off Tournament.

Lindemuth scored a game-high 18 points with Morelli adding 15.

Alexis Constantino paced Clarion with 10 points while Wendy Beveridge had nine points and Gloria Kroh seven points and 22 rebounds.

Brockway plays DuBois Central Catholic in the title game and Clarion faces Redbank Valley in the consolation game Saturday afternoon.

NORTHERN POTTER 33, COWANESQUE VALLEY 17

WESTFIELD, Pa. – Kalie Cowburn scored nine points to lead a balanced Northern Potter scoring effort in a 33-17 win over Cowanesque Valley in the opening round of the Cowanesque Valley Tip-off Tournament.

Gracie Hamilton chipped in eight points for the Lady Panthers, who will play Mansfield in the title game Saturday.

FOREST AREA 46, UNION CITY 26

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Bianca Hetrick had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Forest Area to a 46-26 win over visiting Union City in the opening round of the Forest Area Tip-off Tournament at East Forest.

Cassie Cochranton added nine rebounds for the Fires, who also got six points from Gloria Wagner.

Forest Area will play Warren County Christian in the championship game Saturday.

HOLLIDAYSBURG 54, BRADFORD 25

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. – Despite 10 points from Bri Wells, visiting Bradford was doubled up by Hollidaysburg, 54-25, in the opening round of the Hollidaysburg Tip-off Tournament,

The Owls will take on Central-Martinsburg in the consolation game Saturday.

LATROBE 87, KARNS CITY 43

INDIANA, Pa. – Mackenzie Craig and Emily Hegedus each reached double figures, but Karns City was no match for Latrobe dropping an 87-43 decision in the opening round of the Indiana Tip-off Tournament.

Craig had a team-high 17 points with Hegedus adding 11 for the Lady Gremlins, who play Johnstown in the consolation game Saturday.

ROCKY GROVE 44, UNION 36

ROCKY GROVE, Pa. – Mariah Vincent scored a team-high 12 points to lead Rocky Grove to a 44-36 win over Union in the opening round of the Roy Sanner Memorial Tip-off Tournament at Rocky Grove.

Frankee Remmick led Union with a game-high 14 points while adding six rebounds. Bryn Davis chipped in 10 points, and Lexey Shick, just a day after being cleared to play following offseason knee surgery, had six points.

Rocky Grove faces Cranberry Saturday, while Union plays Mercer.

CRANBERRY 56, MERCER 44

ROCKY GROVE, Pa. – Thanks to 15 points from Malliah Schreck and 13 from Erin Merryman, Cranberry beat Mercer, 56-44, in the opening round of the Roy Sanner Memorial Tip-off Tournament at Rocky Grove.

Bree Swartzfager also chipped in 11 points for the Berries, who play host Rocky Grove Saturday.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 53, WESTMONT-HILLTOP 29

MARION CENTER, Pa. – Leah Miller had 14 points and 20 rebounds to lead Punxsutawney to a 53-29 win over Westmont-Hilltop at the three-team Marion Center Tournament.

Alli Lunger also scored 14 points for the Lady Chucks, who play Marion Center Saturday morning.

PORT ALLEGANY 41, YOUNGSVILLE 25

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Autumn Buchsenschutz had 20 points and eight steals, as Port Allegany beat Youngsville, 41-25, in the opening round of the Sheffield Boosters Tip-off Tournament.

Leah Garzel added nine rebounds and Cailey Barnett seven points and six boards for the Lady Gators in the debut of new head coach Jason Luther.

Port will play Eisenhower in the title game Saturday, while Youngsville faces Sheffield in the consolation game.

EISENHOWER 56, SHEFFIELD 19

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Mya Grubbs had five points as host Sheffield lost, 56-19, to Eisenhower in the opening round of the Sheffield Booster Tip-off Tournament.

The Lady Wolverines will take on Youngsville in Saturday’s consolation, while Eisenhower pairs off against Port Allegany in the title contest.

MARS 54, KEYSTONE 41

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Despite 16 points from Taylor Geer, Mars pulled away late from Keystone for a 54-41 win in the opening round of the Slippery Rock Tip-off Tournament.

Alyssa Beichner added 10 points for the Lady Panthers, who will face host Slippery Rock in Saturday’s consolation game.

MONITEAU 51, PANAMA (NY) 49

WARREN, Pa. – Alazia Greaves scored 14 points and Kristina DeMatteis added 12 points and seven steals, as Moniteau squeaked past Panama (N.Y.), 51-49, in the opening round of the Warren County Classic.

Cambria Campbell chipped in eight points and eight rebounds for the Lady Warriors, who will play host Warren Saturday.

A-C VALLEY 44, REYNOLDS 43, OT

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Ellie Thompson’s jumper in overtime gave A-C Valley a 44-43 win over Reynolds in the opening round of the West Middlesex Tip-off Tournament.

It was a fitting end for Thompson, who led the Lady Falcons with 21 points and nine rebounds. Cami McNany chipped in 11 points.

A-C Valley faces West Middlesex in Saturday’s championship game.
