BROCKWAY, Pa. – District 9 has updated its basketball brackets for games Thursday, Feb. 28, and Friday, March 1.

A pair of championship games and a pair of consolation games will be played Feb. 28.
The Class 2A boys’ title will be decided when two-time defending Coudersport faces Ridgway at 7:30 p.m. at St. Marys High School, while the Class 1A girls’ championship will be won when Johnsonburg takes on two-time defending champion North Clarion at 7:30 p.m. at Brookville High School.
The consolation games Thursday include the Class 1A girls’ contest between Coudersport and Otto-Eldred taking place at 6 p.m. at St. Marys High School and the Class 2A girls’ match between Clarion and Keystone at 6 p.m. at Brookville High School. Coudersport and Otto-Eldred have already qualified for the PIAA Tournament while the winner of the Clarion vs. Keystone game moves into the state bracket.
Also, in a previously announced Thursday matchup, Brookville travels to Pitt-Johnstown to take on Everett in a District 5-9 subregional game in Class 3A with the winner advancing to the PIAA playoffs.
Two title games and a consolation game will be contested March 1.
The Class 2A girls’ championship tilt between Kane and A-C Valley will take place at 7 p.m. at Keystone High School while the Class 1A boys’ championship contest between Elk County Catholic and the winner of Wednesday’s other semifinal game between Clarion-Limestone and North Clarion will be played at 7:30 p.m. at DuBois High School.
The Class 1A boys’ consolation game featuring Johnsonburg and the loser of the C-L/North Clarion game will be played at 6 p.m. Both of the teams involved in that game will have qualified for the PIAA Tournament already.
