ST. MARYS, Pa. – District 9 Monday night, Oct. 21, released its volleyball playoff brackets.

Brackets: Class 1A • Class 2A • Class 3A
In Class 1A, 13 teams have entered the tournament led by the top four seeds Elk County Catholic (1), Clarion (2), A-C Valley (3) and Cranberry (4).
Class 2A is a four-team bracket paced by top-seeded Brookville, while Class 3A is a three-team bracket led by top-seeded DuBois.
Action in Class 1A gets underway with five games in the opening round Thursday, Oct. 24, leading into the quarterfinals Tuesday, Oct. 29. The semifinals will be Thursday, Oct. 31, with the championship match being held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at St. Marys High School. Prior to the championship match, all matches will be at 6:30 p.m. at the higher seed’s home court.
In Class 2A, the semifinals will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the home court of the higher seed while the championship match will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Marys High School.
Class 3A will see only one semifinal match – between Bradford and Punxsutawney – at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Punxsutawney with the winner playing DuBois in the championship match at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Marys High School.
