ECC, Cameron County Boys’ Hoops State Ranked in Dec. 30 Sunbury Daily Item Rankings

SUNBURY, Pa. – Elk County Catholic has jumped up to No. 5 and Cameron County is in the Top 10 at No. 10 for the first time in the latest Sunbury Daily Item Pennsylvania Boys’ Basketball Class 1A Rankings released Monday, Dec. 31.

The Crusaders are 7-0 on the year and are coming off a 43-40 win over previously unbeaten Ridgway in the championship game of the Elk County Tournament Saturday. The Crusaders were ranked eighth last week.

Cameron County is 6-1 on the year with its lone loss coming in double overtime to Ridgway. The Red Raiders haven’t played since a 61-46 win over Austin Dec. 21.

Clarion-Limestone and North Clarion are both in “Others to Watch” in Class 1A with Coudersport and Ridgway both making “Others to Watch” in Class 2A.
