ECC Grad Genevro, DuBois Grad Butler Named Don Hansen All-Region

CLARION, Pa. – Elk County Catholic graduate Kevin Genevro and DuBois’ graduate Paul Butler have been named to the Don Hansen Football Gazette NCAA Division II All-Super Region One squad Saturday.

Genevro, a first-team wide receiver from Clarion University, posted one of the best seasons in program history at the wide receiver position, finishing the year with team highs in catches (65), receiving yardage (1,096) and touchdowns (13), the last of which ranked as the best on the team at all positions.  He became just the third player in program history to top 1,000 receiving yards in a season, and this year’s campaign ranks as the second-best in that regard.  Genevro’s 13 touchdown receptions are tied for second for a single-season in program history, and he graduates from Clarion ranking near the top of the list in career receiving yards (9th), receiving touchdowns (3rd) and overall touchdowns (7th).

Butler, a third-team tight end from California (Pa.), finished with 173 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 15 catches while also playing a pivotal blocking role in the run game.
