PORT ALLEGANY 47, CAMERON COUNTY 20  

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Brooke Roys had 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Port Allegany to its third straight North Tier League title thanks to a 47-20 win over visiting Cameron County.

Susie Guisto led Cameron County with nine points.

KANE 41, BROOKVILLE 35

KANE, Pa. – Kane overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to beat visiting Brookville 41-35 in non-league action Tuesday night.

The Wolves trailed 20-10 at the break but outscored the Raiders 31-15 in the second half including 21-11 in the fourth quarter.

Taylor Morgan had a big night for Kane with 21 points and five rebounds. She was 9 of 10 from the free-throw line. Sydney Dyne added 10 points, while Trinity Clark had 10 rebounds and Camryn Cummings seven boards for the Wolves, who were 13 of 18 from the free-throw line the game.

Hali Olson led Brookville, which was playing without leading scorer Elaina Powell, with 19 points.

ST. MARYS 44, JOHNSONBURG 39

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Rachel Bauer’s game-high 22 points paved the way for a 44-39 St. Marys win over host Johnsonburg Tuesday in the season finale for both squads.

The two teams got off to a slow start with St. Marys leading 7-2 after the first quarter behind six points from Bauer.

Johnsonburg fought back in the second quarter outscoring St. Marys 11-6 to send the game into the locker room tied at 13.

Bauer got the scoring started in the third quarter with a jumper from the corner giving the Lady Dutch the lead 15-13, a lead they never relinquished.

St. Marys got the lead up to as many as six, 25-19, midway through the third quarter, but Johnsonburg closed the gap to three, 28-25, heading into the final stanza.

Ashley Imbrogno then hit a jumper for the Ramettes, and Brianna Quiggle scored a basket off an offensive rebound to pull Johnsonburg as close as it would get, 30-29, early in the fourth quarter.

A series of consecutive turnovers by the Ramettes allowed the Lady Dutch to extend their lead to 40-31 before Nicole Myers ended the 10-2 run with a 3-point field goal making it 40-34.

Rachelle Armanini and Kaitlyn Barackman, though, hit consecutive layups to push the lead back to 10, 44-34.

Myers hit another 3-pointer with under a minute to  go, and Quiggle had another put back with 13 seconds left to get Johnsonburg back within five, 44-39.

Caitlyn Bankovich added seven points and Barackman six for St. Marys.

Imbrogno led Johnsonburg with 13 points and three steals. Myers added 10 points to go with seven rebounds and three steals, while Quiggle came off the bench in the second half to tally six points, four rebounds and three steals. McKenna Rowles dished out four assists.

St. Marys ends the season 7-15, while Johnsonburg finished 6-16 for the second straight year.

NOTES – It was Senior Night for the Ramettes with Imbrogno, Rowles, Brianna Cardoni and Taylor Wolfe playing their final games … Johnsonburg finished 16 for 50 (32 percent) from the floor … Bauer’s 22-point night included a perfect 6 of 6 from the charity stripe.

SMETHPORT 30, GALETON 25

GALETON, Pa. – Morgan Okerlund scored 15 points to lead Smethport to 30-25 win at Galeton Tuesday.

Latascia Shadle led Galeton with 13 points.

Thirteen of Smethports’ 30 points came at the free-throw line with the Hubbers going 13 of 25 from the charity stripe. Galeton shot 4 of 8 from the line.
