NORTH CLARION 59, CLARION 41
FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – Christian Cyphert and Dylan Nick combined to score 43 points and grab 18 rebounds to lead North Clarion to a 59-41 win over Clarion in KSAC North action Saturday afternoon at North Clarion.
Cyphert netted a game-high 23 points, including 17 in the first half, to go with eight rebounds and Nick, asked to take a bigger role after second-leading scorer Zayn Hargenrader was lost to the season last game with a hand/wrist injury, netted a season-high 20 points to go with 10 rebounds.
North Clarion led for all but 54 seconds building a 17-9 lead late in the first quarter before taking a 32-20 lead into halftime thanks to the outburst from Cyphert, who had nine first-quarter points and eight second-quarter tallies while making 11 shots for the game and going 1 of 2 from the free-throw line.
Nick then took over in the second half netting 11 of his 20 after halftime including nine in the third quarter when Clarion tried to take Cyphert out of the game by putting Taylor Smith on him defensively. Kyle Gadley chipped in with eight points for the Wolves.
Sophomore Ceventh Lynch-Skunda continued his solid play of late with a team-high 15 points for Clarion, while Smith had 11 points, nine coming in the second half with five of those coming from the free-throw line. Thomas Plummer had a team-high seven rebounds, while Derek Lauer had six.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 66, OTTO-ELDRED 33
DuBOIS, Pa. – Dane Aucker scored 23 points and Christian LaParne added 12 to lead DuBois Central Catholic to a 66-33 win over visiting Otto-Eldre in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon.
In all, 12 Cardinals scored to help DCC improve to 16-4 on the year. Otto-Eldred dropped to 9-11 with the loss.
