STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – The biggest players show up in the biggest games, and Brookville quarterback Jack Krug’s elite two-way performance against a strong Central Clarion squad earns him D9Sports.com All American Awards & Engraving Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week.

In a week two contest that held championship implications for both teams, Jack Krug went 19-of-32, throwing for 243 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in Brookville’s 49-30 win over Central Clarion. He also snagged a key interception on defense. Krug was strong with his passing all night, and his ability to keep drives alive was vital for a Brookville team that only failed to find the endzone on two drives all game.
Krug’s finest work came down the stretch, beginning with a nine yard touchdown pass to Kyle Macbeth after a long ten play drive. The score gave the Raiders a 36-30 lead. Clarion’s attempt to tie the game was thwarted by Krug himself, who stopped the driving Wildcats by picking off a Cal German pass. Krug then led the Raiders on another touchdown scoring drive to put Brookville up by two scores, a lead that they would not relinquish.
Brayden Kunselman was Krug’s top target, catching five passes for 74 yards with a touchdown. Macbeth added 60 receiving yards to go with his touchdown, while running back Brayden Davis reeled in five passes for 39 yards and a touchdown.
