CURWENSVILLE 62, HARMONY 32

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Needing 14 points to become the fifth player in Curwensville girls’ basketball history to score 1,000 career points, senior Madison Weber reached the mark midway through the second quarter on a layup and helped Curwensville to a 62-32 Mo Valley League victory over visiting Harmony.

Weber tallied a game-high 35 points for the Lady Tide with Tarah Jacobson and Alyssa Bakaysa chipping in for eight points apiece.

“I was a bit nervous at the end of the school day and had a lot of advice coming at me,” Weber said. “I just needed to calm down, get my mindset right and if I played a normal game I knew the points would come.”

Harmony was paced by Hannah Smith’s 10 points.

COUDERSPORT 57, OSWAYO VALLEY 27

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Shae Black and Sarah Chambers combined for 39 points to lead visiting Coudersport to a 57-27 win over Oswayo Valley in NTL play.

Black led the Lady Falcons with 20 points with Chambers adding 19.

Karina West paced Oswayo Valley with 12 points with McKenzie Gross adding nine.

GALETON 51, AUSTIN 29

GALETON, Pa. – Katelyn Pagano netted a game-high 16 points to give Galeton a 51-29 home NTL victory over Austin.

Cara Parsell chipped in 11 points for the Lady Tigers with Brielle Kalacinski adding eight.

Julia Latimore led Austin with 14 points.

CAMERON COUNTY 45, BROCKWAY 23

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Kamme Guisto scored 15 points to lead visiting Cameron County to a 45-23 win over Brockway.

Reggie Goodrow added nine points for the Lady Raiders.

Danielle Wood paced Brockway with nine points.

OTTO-ELDRED 45, NORTHERN POTTER 29

ULYSSES, Pa. – Autumn Smith scored 11 points to lead a balanced Otto-Eldred attack in a 45-29 road NTL win over Northern Potter.

Haylee Frederick, Jade Spinney and Dalton Morgan each added eight points for the Lady Terrors. Spinney chipped in seven rebounds and Frederick four steals and three assists with Kayley Heller adding eight rebounds and two points.

Mirissa Bliss paced Northern Potter with eight points with Courtney Martin and Abbi Anderson each chipped in seven points.

PORT ALLEGANY 54, SMETHPORT 20

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Bree Garzel scored 20 points to lead Port Allegany to a 54-20 win over visiting Smethport in NTL action.

Cailey Barnett added 17 points for the Lady Gators.

Erin Herzog paced Smethport with seven points with Kassidy DiDamizio adding five points and nine rebounds.

CRANBERRY 41, KEYSTONE 31

SENECA, Pa. – Malliah Schreck exploded for 28 points and 19 rebounds to lead Cranberry past visiting Keystone, 41-31.

The Berries cleaned up from the free-throw line hitting 18 of 32 charity shots as Keystone committed 21 fouls in the game compared to just five by Cranberry.

Also for Cranberry, Carly Wice and Kaylee Bruce each scored six points.

McKenzie Hovis paced Keystone with nine points with Jozee Weaver adding six.

DUBOIS 36, BELLEFONTE 34

DUBOIS, Pa. – Chelsea DeSalve and Olivia Johnson each scored 11 points as DuBois edged visiting Bellefonte, 36-34.

Maddie Smith added eight points in the win for the Lady Beavers.

Smith’s layup with 1:27 to play but DuBois ahead for good, 35-33. Sara Dehaas had a chance to tie the game at the end for Bellefonte but her shot was off the mark.

Mallorie Smith led Bellefonte with 11 points, Maddie Tice added 10 and Maddie Steiner nine.

BOYS

CURWENSVILLE 64, HARMONY 59

WESTOVER, Pa. – Christian Bakaysa hit 10 shots from the field, including a 3-pointer, on his way to 21 points to help visiting Curwensville to a 64-59 Mo Valley League win over Harmony.

Ty Terry added 13 points, Dakota Bloom 11 and Avery Francisco 10 for the Golden Tide. Jeremy Irwin also chipped in eight tallies.

Daniel Rorabaugh had a game-high 28 points for Harmony while hitting five 3-pointers.

KEYSTONE 58, CRANBERRY 15

KNOX, Pa. – Led by 10 points from Isaak Jones, 10 different Keystone players scored in a 58-15 win over visiting Cranberry.

Alex Rapp and Dawson Steele each added eight points for the Panthers with Troy Johnson, Luke Hurrelbrink and Andrew Lauer scoring seven apiece.

JT Stahlman had seven to lead Cranberry.

MONITEAU 53, CLARION 36

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Ethan McDeavitt scored a game-high 20 points to lead Moniteau to a 53-36 win over visiting Clarion.

Gage Neal added 10 points and Tyler McFadden eight in the win.

Cal German scored 18 points for Clarion.
