COUDERSPORT 55, CAMERON COUNTY 52

EMPORIUM – Coudersport threw a wrench into Cameron County’s plans to roll through the North Tier League this season handing the Red Raiders their first conference loss of the year, 55-52, Friday night in a battle between the league’s top two teams in Emporium.

Freshman Jared Green scored 14 points, and Darren Keglovits added 13 to help the Falcons get the key road victory.

Four players reaching double figures wasn’t enough for Cmeron County. Nate Sestina had another double-double with 10 points, 18 rebounds and eight asits, while Michael Slusarick added 14 points, Keith Spehalski 13 and Trae Smith 10. But the Red Raiders got just five points from the rest of the team.

The contest was tied at 20 at the end of the quarter quarter before Coudersport took a 33-32 halftime lead and kept the lead at one, 45-44, at the end of three quarters.

RIDGWAY 38, JOHNSONBURG 29, OT

JOHNSONBURG — Ben MacDonald scored 15 points and Jeremy Breier finished with 13 points as No. 1 Ridgway escaped Johnsonburg after rallying past the Rams for a 38-29 overtime win Friday night.

The Rams (7-8) led by nine points late in the third quarter before a 10-0 Ridgway run gave the Elkers (13-1) a 25-24 lead with 5:40 left in the game. Johnsonburg tied it at 27-27 to send it into overtime as Breier missed a 3-pointer with three seconds left in regulation.

Breier hit four free throws to start overtime, helping the Elkers get out to a 33-27 lead in the extra frame.

Johnsonburg’s Ryan Kilhoffer scored 10 points while Zane Hodgdon and Christian Cherry each had seven points.

Ridgway won despite making just eight field goals, none of them 3-pointers. The Elkers were 20-of-24 from the free throw line.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 88, UNION 64

RIMERSBURG — R.J. Laugand scored 23 points and dished out 15 assists to lead the Clarion-Limestone Lions to an 88-64 win at Union Friday night.

The Lions (11-2), who led 49-21 at halftime, put Jesse Pezzuti (15), Josh Kahle (13) and Kolton Stiglitz (13) in double figures.

Cole Morris and Lucas Bowser scored 23 and 17 points respectively for Union, which fell to 7-6.

REDBANK VALLEY 72, FOREST AREA 33

NEW BETHLEHEM — The Redbank Valley Bulldogs put four players in double-figure scoring in a 72-33 rout of visiting Forest Area Friday night.

Zach Westover led Bulldogs (12-2) with 16 points while Jake Dougherty (14), Sam Heeter (12), Dalton Dougherty (10) and Khorey Neiswonger (10) hit double digits. Devin Shumaker had five points, eight assists and 11 steals.

Forest dropped to 5-6.

OSWAYO VALLEY 39, NORTHERN POTTER 35

SHINGLEHOUSE — Brandon Brabham had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Green Wave to a 39-35 win over visiting Northern Potter Friday night.
