CAMERON COUNTY 56, KANE 39

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Despite holding NCAA Division I signee Nate Sestina to a season-low seven points, all in the fourth quarter, visiting Kane fell to the Red Raiders 56-39 in non-conference boys’ basketball action Friday night.

With Sestina, who entered the game averaging 22.7 points per game, being held scoreless until the fourth quarter, Keith Spehalski and Trae Smith took over for Cameron County

Spehalski netted a game-high 20 points with 17 coming after halftime, and Smith chipped in 17 points, including 11 in the first half.

Three Kane players reached double figures with Andrew Bucheit and Davis Gardner each scoring 11 and Andy Bundy adding 10.

In a physical contest inside, Kane led 10-8 at the end of the first quarter before Cameron County took an 18-16 halftime lead. The Red Raiders then outscored the Wolves 14-5 in the third quarter thanks to eight points from Spehalski, who hit two of his four 3-pointers in the quarter.

With the win, Cameron County improves to 7-1 on the year while Kane falls to 2-5.

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Brandon Brabham scored 21 points to lead Oswayo Valley to a 62-18 North Tier League win over visiting Austin Friday night.

The win improves the Green Wave to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the NTL, while Austin fell to 0-9, 0-3 in league play.
