Brookville 40, Bradford 37
BRADFORD — Elaina Powell hit 3 of 4 free throws in the final 35 seconds to lead the Brookville Lady Raiders to a 40-37 win in a District 9 League game at Bradford Friday night.
Brookville (9-2, 3-1) led 22-12 at halftime, but had to overcome a second-half rally by Bradford (1-9, 0-2). Powell finished with a double-double, 14 points and 10 rebounds. MacKenzie Ganoe and Hali Olson each scored eight points. Olson had nine rebounds.
Morgan Roggenbaum scored 11 points to pace the Lady Owls. Bri Wells had five assists and three steals.
DuBois Central Catholic 49, Johnsonburg 33

Dubois – The Dubois Central Catholic Lady Cardinals used a 33 point second half to pull away from a feisty Johnsonburg Ramettes squad Friday night in Dubois to capture a 49-33 Allegheny Mountain League crossover victory.
The Ramettes jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a put back by Ashton Watts to gain the early advantage. But an 8-0 Lady Cardinal run helped put DCC up 12-8 after one quarter of play. Johnsonburg would outscore DCC 8-4 in the second quarter to knot the game at 16 all going into the locker room at halftime. Both teams suffered from the turnover bug and poor shooting in the first half as neither team was able to shoot above 33% from the field and were in double digits in turnovers.
DCC came out and scored 18 and 15 points respectively in the third and fourth quarter, holding Johnsonburg to just 17 second half points. Riley Assalone led the Lady Cardinals (5-5 , 4-2 AMLS) with 14 points. Jordan Frank added 10 and Macey Hanes pitched in 6 points.
For the Ramettes (2-8 , 1-3 AMLN), Ashley Imbrogno led the way with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Nicole Myers also reached double digits, scoring 10 points and grabbing 5 boards. Ashton Watts finished the night with 8 points.
Johnsonburg returns to action on Tuesday, January 13, when the play host to the Brockway Lady Rovers. Dubois Central Catholic travels to Coudersport Saturday evening to play the Lady Falcons. Game notes: Johnsonburg shot 30% (15 of 50) for the night from the field but only converted on 2 of 14 (14%) of their attempts from the charity stripe.The Ramettes committed 32 turnovers. Johnsonburg got 17 steals from its defense.
The JV squad continued its recent success, picking up a 31-20 win, led by Nicole Myers with 12 points, Brianna Quiggle 8 points, Emily Dillinger 5 points and 11 rebounds, and Jensen Furlong with 4 points.
