With her javelin throw of 165-03 at the Kane Invitational, Clark recorded the best toss in the country, according to Athletic.net and MaxPreps. Additionally, it puts Clark as the top javelin thrower in Pennsylvania and a full 12 feet better than last year’s gold medal-winning javelin throw at last year’s state championships.
The senior’s mark also bested the previous meet record while also hitting a state-qualifying standard and earning a spot on the NFHS Honor Roll.
One other meet record fell on the day – Eisenhower’s Terry Lee Talasky ran a 25.93 in the 200-meter dash.
In team scoring, Bradford (126) ran away from second-place Elk County Catholic (95) in the boys’ competition. In girls, Bradford (107) edged St. Marys (94).
