PECKVILLE, Pa. – Clarion and Karns City start the season in the Pennsylvania Football News Top 10 in Class A and Class AA respectively.
Clarion is coming off the best season in school history with a 14-1 record, the KSAC Small School Division Champion, the District 9 Class A Championship, the first PIAA playoff win in school history and a berth in the PIAA Class A semifinals where it lost to eventual champion North Catholic.
Karns City, meanwhile, went 12-2 last year winning the KSAC Large School title, the District 9 Class AA Championship and a PIAA playoff game before falling to eventual champion South Fayette in the quarterfinals.
