BROOKVILLE — An afternoon bomb threat at Brookville Area High School has forced the postponement of tonight’s Keystone at Brookville varsity football game to Saturday at 1 p.m.
School officials notified the district through its phone alert system that all high school student were safely evacuated and dismissed near the regular dismissal time.
According to Athletic Director Dave Osborne, emergency personnel indicated that a security sweep of the school would not be completed until at least 7 p.m., thus the decision to postpone the game since the campus and school building are closed until the “all clear” notice is given.
The phone alert system said that the school would be open from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday for students to return to the building and get any belongings that were left behind due to the evacuation.
