STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – The District 9 Class 2A softball title is at stake when Cranberry faces off against three-time defending champion, Moniteau, and you can listen live to all the action on the Laurel Eye Clinic District 9 Playoff Softball Game of the Week at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, from the Clarion-Limestone Sports Complex.
The broadcast gets underway with the Kerle Tire Pregame Show starting at 3:45 p.m. with Chris Rossetti on the call. Game time, weather permitting, is set for 4 p.m.

This is the second straight year these teams are meeting for the District 9 title. Last year, Moniteau beat Cranberry, 4-0, to win its third consecutive title. The Lady Warriors then went on to play for the state title losing in that game.
Cranberry is looking for its first title since beating Redbank Valley in 2012.
The teams met in the regular season at Cranberry April 20 with Moniteau winning 11-1 in five innings in a game that was twice delayed by thunder.
Moniteau is a perfect 20-0 on the year and beat Redbank Valley, 10-0 in five innings, in the semifinals.
Cranberry is 17-2. The Berries rallied to top Johnsonburg, 7-6, in walk-off fashion in the semifinals.
The winner moves into the PIAA playoffs where it will take on fourth-place team out of the WPIAL, either Seton-LaSalle or Chartiers-Houston, in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs Monday. The loser’s season is over.
