DUBOIS, Pa.  – It’s a District 9 football championship doubleheader edition of the Kerle Tire Game of the Week presented by EYT Media/D9Sports.com when Redbank Valley takes on defending champion Coudersport in Class 1A and Clarion battled defending champion Ridgway in Class 2A Saturday at DuBois’ Mansell Stadium.

The Redbank Valley/Coudersport game kicks off at 1 p.m. with the Clarion/Ridgway game to follow at 6 p.m.

The Kerle Tire Pregame Show for Coudersport vs. Redbank Valley with Dustin Kifer and Bob “The Governor” Dunkle starts at 12:30 p.m., while the Kerle Tire Pregame Show for Clarion vs. Ridgway with Chris Rossetti and Bob “The Governor” Dunkle starts at 5:30 p.m.

Redbank Valley (9-2) is the second seed and beat Union/A-C Valley last week to advance to the title game, while Coudersport (10-0) is the top seed and beat Smethport to advance to the champion title.

The teams met in the regular season with Coudersport winning 56-0 Oct. 12 in Coudersport.

Clarion (10-1) is the second seed and beat Kane last week to advance to the title game, while Ridgway (10-1), which is seeking a fourth straight D9 title and a second straight in Class 2A is the top seed and beat Karns City in the semifinals. The Elkers beat Clarion, 42-0, in Ridgway Oct. 4.
