KARNS CITY, Pa. – A pair of first-place teams in their respective divisions meet on Laurel Eye Clinic Friday Night Hoops via exploreRadio and exploreClarion.com. when North Clarion makes the trek south to take on Karns City.

The Kerle Tire Pre-Game Show for the approximate 7:30 p.m. tip will start at 6:50 p.m. with Mike Kalinowski and Bob “The Governor” Dunkle on the call with Chris Rossetti providing pre- and post-game interviews.
North Clarion enters the game unbeaten at 10-0 overall. The Wolves sit in first place in the KSAC North with a 5-0 mark, a game up on Clarion-Limestone at the midway point of the conference schedule.
Karns City is 7-3 on the season and 4-1 in KSAC South play. The Gremlins are tied with Keystone, a team they beat, for first place in the south looking for a second straight southern division title.
North Clarion looks to its 6-7, 250-pound center Kyle Mills to lead the way. Mills averages 21.4 points per game for the Wolves, who average 75.3 ppg as a team while never scoring fewer than 66 points on the year and breaking 70 nine times. Also for North Clarion, Tyler McCord-Wolbert, a 6-4 forward, adds 12.8 ppg while the Minich twins Logan (9.9 ppg) and Sam (8.5 ppg), as well as Mills’ cousin, Korey Mills, (9.2 ppg), also play key roles.
For Karns City’s a couple of experienced sophomores lead the charge with point guard Chase Beighly leading the team at 14.6 ppg with 6-4 forward Nathan Waltman adding 12.6 ppg. Senior Austin Fahlor chips in 13.3 ppg and junior Ethan McElroy adds 8.2 ppg.
