FOXBURG, Pa. – The New Year has arrived and with it a rather important KSAC South girls’ basketball game when Karns City makes the 25-minute trek north to play A-C Valley on a game that can be heard on exploreRadio in conjunction with exploreClarion.com as part of Laurel Eye Clinic KSAC Hoops.

Fans can listen to the game, which will most likely tip-off somewhere between 7:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. live on exploreClarion.com or by downloading our app for Apple and Android, with the Kerle Tire Pre-Game Show starting at 6:50 p.m. Dustin Kifer and “The Governor” Bob Dunkle will be on the call.
A-C Valley enters the game at 8-1 overall and 4-0 in the KSAC South with Karns City coming in at 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the KSAC South.
The game features two of the top players in the KSAC with A-C Valley being led by Elli Thompson (21.0 ppg) and Karns City by Emily Hegedus (24.9 ppg). Hegedus has scored at least 26 points in each of her last three games and in four of her eight contests, while Thompson is coming off an 18-point performance in a win over Redbank Valley in the championship game of the Redbank Valley Christmas Tournament. It was just the second time this year she failed to reach 20 points in a game.
