BASEBALL

OTTO-ELDRED 14, PORT ALLEGANY 2

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Chris Connelly drove in five runs while going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored to help visiting Otto-Eldred defeat Port Allegany, 14-2.

Cole Sebastian added a home run and went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs for the Terrors while Andrew Sheeler went 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored. Chase Sebastian tripled, drove in a pair of runs and went 2-for-2 with four runs scored and Jacob Merry singled and had scored a pair of runs.

Howie Stuckey paced the Gators offense with a double and two RBIs. Drew Benson and Carter Moses each had singles and Boots Caden went 1-for-1 with two runs scored.

Chase Sebastian struck out five batters while giving up three hits and a run to earn the victory for Otto-Eldred.

CLEARFIELD 4, PENNS VALLEY 3

SPRING MILLS, Pa. – Hayden Williams single in the top of the seventh inning scored Eli Glass with the eventual game-winning run, as Clearfield beat Penns Valley 4-3.

Glass was 2-for-3 in the game with a double and an RBI for Clearfield, while Allan Myers went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Williams had the single, the RBI and two runs scored. Harrison Peacock, Nick Domico and Nathan Barr each added singles for the Bison.

Jesse Darlington went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI to pace the Rams offense. Calvin Russell and Dylan Treaster each doubled while Mason Lieb and Logan Snyder each had a single and run scored.

Hunter Dixon got the win for Clearfield giving up nine hits and three runs.

Lieb and Treaster each split time on the mound for Penns Valley combining doe six strikeouts with Treaster taking the loss.

OSWAYO VALLEY 17, FRIENDSHIP-CENTRAL (N.Y.) 2, 3 INNINGS

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Derrek Bickel drove in four runs while going 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored to help Oswayo Valley to a 17-2, three-inning victory over Friendship-Central (N.Y.).

Ian Bilski was also 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs and three runs scored for the Green Wave while Gunner Bean had a triple, three runs scored and an RBI. Jaxson Bonney singled and drove in two runs. Colton Gietler, Noah Wichert and Sawyer Prince each singled and had two runs scored in the win.

Noah Boutwell had the lone hit and a run scored to pace the Eagles offense while Dekota Stewart had a run scored.

Bean got the win for Oswayo Valley striking out five batters while allowing a base hit and two runs.

Garrett Miller took the loss for Friendship-Central.

WARREN 11, BRADFORD 2

WARREN, Pa. – Ryan Rafalski had seven RBIs to go along with a 3-for-3 day to help Warren defeat visiting Bradford, 11-2.

Rafalski hit a home run and a double and also scored three runs. Micah Passmore went 3-for-3 including a double and three runs scored while Aiden Morrison had a pair of hits. Tyler Gustafson had a double, one run scored and an RBI.

Greg Frederick paced the Owls with a double while going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Caleb Nuzzo had a pair of hits and Peyton Manion singled with a run scored.

Hunter Loomis got the win for Warren striking out five while giving up three hits and a run.

Nolan Roulo started the first three innings and took the loss for Bradford. Drew Piganelli had four strikeouts in the last 1 ⅔ innings.

UNION TAKES TWO FROM KEYSTONE

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Union swept a doubleheader from visiting Keystone winning Game One, 7-3, and Game Two, 3-1, in six innings.

In the first game, Union scored all seven of its runs in the fourth inning.

Luke Salvo was 2-for-4 in the game with a triple and two RBIs and Luke Bowser went 3-for-4.

Jayden Blazosky was 2-for-4 for Keystone.

Karter Vogle got the Game One win for the Golden Knights. He allowed three earned runs on six hits while striking out four.

In the second game, Reice Saylor got the win giving up no runs on one hit and seven walks while striking out eight in 4 2/3 innings. Bowser picked up the save allowing one run on a hit and three walks while striking out three.

BOLIVAR-RICHBURG (N.Y.) 5, SMETHPORT 3

BOLIVAR, N.Y. – Riley McDonald was 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored to help Bolivar-Richburg (N.Y.) to a 5-3 win over Smethport in the opening round of the Bolivar-Richburg Tournament.

Camden Graves was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored as well in the victory.

Blake Kinner was 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for Smethport.

Micah Crump got the win going five innings allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits and three walks while striking out seven. Riley Danaher got the save pitching two innings walking two while striking out three.

Nate Hollowell took the loss pitching five innings allowing five runs, four earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out eight.

SOFTBALL

BRADFORD 9, SMETHPORT 1

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Katie Work went 3-for-3 with a double and run scored to lead visiting Bradford over Smethport, 9-1.

Adrienne Angell added a 2-for-3 day with a run scored and an RBI for the Lady Owls while Mackenzee Maley had a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Paige Craig singled, scored twice and added an RBI while Olivia Andell singled and drove in a run.

Dani Nelson and Samantha Tanner each hit doubles to pace the Lady Hubbers offense.

Emily Warner got the win for Bradford striking out five while giving up four hits and a run.

Coryn McClain had four strikeouts in the loss for Smethport.

SMETHPORT 12, OSWAYO VALLEY 10

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Willow Lapp drove in four runs and went 3-for-4 with a run scored to lead Smethport to a 12-10 victory over visiting Oswayo Valley.

Celest Austin had a pair of hits for the Lady Hubbers while Samantha Tanner doubled with a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Rylee Crowley and Ashley Day each had two RBIs with Danielle Nelson and Baylea Arnold hitting doubles.

Macy West paced the Green Wave offense going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and three RBIs while Skylar Hohenwarter went 3-for-5 with a run scored. Caitlin Pease went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and Breaze Taylor had a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Coryn McClain got the win for Smethport striking out two batters and allowing one run on five hits in 2 ⅓ innings. Tanner started the first 4 ⅓ innings and had three strikeouts.

West had five strikeouts and took the loss for Oswayo Valley.

MOSHANNON VALLEY 10, CURWENSVILLE 4

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Chole Blake and Kalie Fleck each hit home runs to help visiting Moshannon Valley defeat Curwensville, 10-4.

Blake led the Damsels offense going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and two RBIs while Fleck drove in two runs. Aubrey Dotts had a pair of hits and an RBI and Leigha Anderson scored a pair of runs.

Joslynne Freyer and Ally Hess each went 2-for-3 with a run scored to pace the Lady Tide. Taylor Luzier doubled and drove in a run.

Emma Kitko got the win for Moshannon Valley giving up four runs on five hits while striking out two.

Freyer struck out six and gave up nine runs on nine hits in the loss for Curwensville.

FOREST AREA 17, SHEFFIELD 14

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Behind a strong offense day from Emily Aites, Forest Area beat visiting Sheffield, 17-14, at East Forest.

Aites was 3-for-3 with two triples, a two-run home run, two intentional walks and four RBIs.

Also for the Fires, Jasmine Ginnery went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, Catelynne Boehme was 4-for-5 with two RBIs and Jess Wagner was 2-for-5 with a triple and an RBI.

Marissa Grubs and Tori Childress were both 3-for-5 with doubles for Sheffield, while Ashley Frederick went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

Ginnery got the win striking out five.

KEYSTONE SWEEPS UNION

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Keystone swept a doubleheader against Union winning Game One, 11-0 in five innings, and Game Two, 22-0 in three innings.

In the first game, Alexandria Johnston went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Lady Panthers offense. Jessie Phillippi and Haylee Dittman each had doubles and Lauren Slaugenhaupt tripled and drove in three runs.

Carissa Rodgers had the lone hit for the Golden Damsels.

Johnston gave up one hit and struck out five to earn the win.

In the second game, Alyssa Dunlap led the Lady Panthers going 3-for-4 with a home run, triple and five RBIs

In addition, Johnston drove in five runs while going 4-for-4 and Slaugenhaupt was 2-for-2 with four RBIs. Rachel Jack and Aalaiyah Jacques each had a pair of hits and four RBIs.

Kierra Marsh and Sienna Salvo each singled to pace Union.
