SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – With a wild-and-wacky first week of the playoffs in the books, the Nov. 6, 2018, Allegheny Grille of Foxburg D9Sports.com Football Rankings see some changes including a pair of new teams entering the Top 10.
Clearfield (11-0), coming off a playoff win over DuBois, remains at No. 1 followed by the only other unbeaten team in District 9, Smethport (10-0), which also won a playoff game last week over Union/A-C Valley.
Ridgway (9-1), which was off last week, remains at No. 3 with Brockway (8-2), which was also off, at No. 4. Clarion-Limestone (9-2) jumps up a spot to No. 5 following its playoff victory over Otto-Eldred.
Coming in at No. 6 is Brookville (6-4) up a spot despite not playing last week, while Moniteau (7-4) is up two spots to No. 7 after beating Clarion. The eighth and ninth spots are filled by teams new to the ranking with Curwensville (7-4) jumping in at No. 8 and Coudersport (6-4) at No. 9 following road playoff wins over Elk County Catholic and Redbank Valley respectively. ECC (7-3) falls to No. 10 after having its season ended by Curwensville.
There are plenty of Top 10 matchups this week with Smethport taking on Curwensville, Ridgway battling Moniteau, Brockway and Brookville clashing and C-L taking on Coudersport.
