SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – The Nov. 6 edition of the Allegheny Grille of Foxburg D9Sports.com Rankings feature Karns City moving into the Top 5 after a win over Keystone in the District 9 Class 2A quarterfinals last week.
The Gremlins (8-3) are up two spots to No. 5, while Keystone (9-2), whose season is over, drops two spots to No. 7.
The remainder of the Top 5 remains the same with only No. 4 Clearfield (9-2) having played and won last week. Coudersport (9-0) is at No. 1 followed by Ridgway (9-1) at No. 2 and Clarion (9-1 at No. 3).
The bottom half of the Top 10 sees Brookville (8-3) remain at No. 6, Keystone checks in at No. 7, Union/A-C Valley (7-3) moved up a spot to No. 8, Redbank Valley (8-2) move up a spot to No. 9 and St. Marys (6-5) following two spots to No. 10.
As the season heads into the semifinal and championship rounds of the district play, Ridgway and Karns City will square off in the D9 Class 2A semifinals, while Union/A-C Valley and Redbank Valley will play in the Class 1A semifinals. In other matchups, Clearfield plays Bellefonte for the D6-9 4A title, Coudersport faces Smethport in the D9 1A semifinals and Clarion takes on Kane in the D9 2A semifinals.
