Redbank Valley 4, St. Marys 3
After falling behind 2-0 early, Redbank Valley rallied for the next four tallies and then held off a late St. Marys rally to get a 4-3 win over the Lady Dutch Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs took a 4-2 lead at the break thanks to a pair of Jasmine Adams goals, one on a penalty kick, and tallies from Raegen Neiswonger and Tiara Lamb. Neiswonger also had an assist along with Emma Reddinger and Patty Smith.
Alena Keller made 15 saves in goal for the victory despite St. Marys outshooting Redbank Valley 18-11.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Troy 3, Northern Potter 0
Despite five saves from Frank Gardner, Northern Potter dropped a 3-0 decision to Troy Monday.
Troy also won the JV match 4-0 as Holden Cowburn had four saves.
The Panthers are back in action Thursday against Sayre at NoPo.
Karns City 5, Armstrong Central 0
On Saturday, Spenser Myers scored four goals, one on a penalty kick and another off a direct kick to lead Karns City to its 12th straight win with a 5-0 victory over Armstrong Central.
Noah Pollock added a goal off an assist from Jace Ebbitt.
According to Karns City head coach Jim Grenninger, the play of the game was made by Karns City goalie Nick Dodds who stopped an Armstrong penalty kick and then go up and made a diving save on the kick off the rebound.
Meadville 3, Bradford 2
Also on Saturday, Cottrell McDonald scored twice and Jacob LeSane added a goal to lead Meadville to a 3-2 win over Bradford.
Todd Smith had a goal and an assist for the Owls, while Ben Jordan also added a tally.
Jack Kellam made 11 saves for Bradford, while Evan Vanyo had five saves to get the win for Meadville.
