VOLLEYBALL

A-C VALLEY 3, REDBANK VALLEY 1

FOXBURG, Pa. – In a battle of one-loss teams, Olivia Boocks, Josey Terwilliger and Kylee Eaton all had kill/dig double-doubles to lead A-C Valley to a 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 25-18, 25-13) win over visiting Redbank Valley.

Boocks recorded a match-high 19 kills to go with 18 digs, while Terwilliger chipped in 17 kills and 11 digs for the Lady Falcons who also got 11 kills and 11 digs from Eaton.

Sydney Rankin (27 set assists, 17 digs) and Emily Wetzel (19 set assists, 13 digs) ran the A-C Valley offense with Jaleigh Seigal adding 14 digs.

Heather Traister had 11 kills and seven blocks for Redbank Valley with Macy King adding seven kills and Hannah Adams 28 digs.

GALETON 3, AUSTIN 0

AUSTIN, Pa. – Olivia Pagano had 12 kills, five blocks and two aces to pace a 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-8) win for visiting Galeton over Austin.

Madi Reiter added seven kills for the Lady Tigers.

Madison Hooftallen had two kills and two aces for Austin, who also got 11 digs, a kill and three aces from Jordan Brewer and three aces and four set assists from Angie Watson.

BRADFORD 3, JOHNSONBURG 1

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Visiting Bradford got 21 kills from Kam Piscitelli on its way to a 3-1 (25-16, 25-18, 24-26, 25-19).

Ashton McGriff chipped in 13 kills, while Morgan Roggenbaum had 40 set assists, five aces, three kills and two blocks.

Jensen Furlong and Nicole Myers each had 10 kills for Johnsonburg with Myers adding four digs. Brianna Quiggle had a career-best 20 digs, while Lindsay Kocjancic added six kills and Skylar Sherry 10 set assists and five digs.

SMETHPORT 3, CAMERON COUNTY 0

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Thanks to Abbey Woodard, Katie Treat and Meagan Deluca visiting Smethport beat Cameron County, 3-0 (25-7, 25-9, 25-8).

Woodard had 10 kills, eight aces, three blocks and two digs, while Treat added nine kills, five digs and five blocks and Deluca 15 set assists.

Kendyl Guisto and Corrine Burnside each had three kills for Cameron County with Sami Bickford had eight set assists and Payton Bloom four digs.

KEYSTONE 3, CLARION-LIMESTONE 2

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Katie Brown had 11 kills to lead visiting Keystone to a 3-2 (20-25, 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 15-7) win at Clarion-Limestone.

Makenzie Byerley ran the Lady Panthers offense with 16 set assists and chipped in three aces, while Grace Hogue added five aces and Sydney Easton three aces.

COUDERSPORT 3, OSWAYO VALLEY 0

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Ally Easton had 13 kills to lead visiting Coudersport to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-10) win at Oswayo Valley.

Macy Gleason added six kills and 19 digs for the Lady Falcons with Skyler VanWagenen chipping in five kills. Joplin Osgood paced the defense with 25 digs, Adi Page added 20 digs and Haley Keck had 25 set assists.

CRANBERRY 3, FOREST AREA 0

TIONESTA, Pa. – Ellie Kahle and Bree Swartzfager helped visiting Cranberry to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-21) Win over Forest Area at West Forest.

Kahle paced the Berries defense with 15 digs while adding eight aces, and Swartzfager had 11 kills and eight digs.

Also for Cranberry, Nicole Hutchinson added six kills, Lauren Conkle four kills and Kaylee Weaver, Natalie Barcinis, Hannah Duncan and Libby Kiefer four kills each.

Erin Merryman ran the offense with 34 set assists and added three kills.

DUBOIS 3, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Danessa Allison had 10 kills and three service aces, as DuBois traveled across town and beat DuBois Central Catholic, 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-13).

Lexi Ray added six kills and three blocks for the Lady Beavers with Kylee Bundy chipping in a team-best 14 digs and Ashley McCluskey and Katie Zameroski combining for 20 set assists.

Libby Maurer paced DCC with eight kills and four digs. Macey Hanes added five kills and five digs and Alyssa Bittner had three blocks.

KANE 3, SHEFFIELD 0

KANE, Pa. – Kane used 11 kills, six digs, four aces and two blocks from Trinity Clark and nine kills, four digs and three blocks from Alyssa Zampogna to sweep past visiting Kane, 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-17).

Ashley Jordan (15 set assists) and Hannah Buhl (11 set assists) ran the Lady Wolves attack, while Marcie Stanisch chipped in nine digs and seven aces and Sadie Tunall three kills and three aces.

Mya Grubbs paced Sheffield with five set assists and three kills.

UNION 3, MONITEAU 1

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Visiting Union used strong performances from Frankee Remmick and Taylor Adams to knock off Moniteau, 3-1 (25-11, 27-25, 22-25, 26-24).

Remmick had 11 kills, 10 digs and five aces, while Adams added nine kills and five aces.

Hannah Atzeni ran the Golden Damsels offense finishing with 21 set assists while coming up with seven digs, Marli Hawk chipped in six digs and Vanessa Reddick three aces.

NORTH CLARION 3, VENANGO CATHOLIC 0

OIL CITY, Pa. – North Clarion used a balanced effort in getting a 3-0 (25-4, 25-11, 25-8) win at Venango Catholic.

Tori Obenrader led the She-Wolves offense with six kills and added four aces and a block,while Cassie Wagner had five kills and five blocks. Abby Karg served well with 11 aces and Paige Sherbine had six set assists with Sydney Greenawalt adding five set assists.

OTTO-ELDRED 3, PORT ALLEGANY 1

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Thanks to 16 kills and 11 digs from Ali Cousins, Otto-Eldred took another step closer to securing the NTL title with a 3-1 (25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 25-13) victory over visiting Port Allegany.

Emily Smith added 40 set assists and five aces for the Lady Terrors, who can secure at least a tie for the conference title (and they own the tiebreaker) with a win at Northern Potter Thursday.

Alyssa Shelander chipped in 12 kills and eight digs, and Tiffany Bair nine kills for Otto.

Erin Stauffer paced Port Allegany with seven kills and 10 digs. Hannah Lathrop added five kills and five blocks with Kiera Keck chipping in seven kills and five blocks and Makenzie Burr six kills.

RIDGWAY 3, ST. MARYS 0

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Emily Fullem’s 10 kills and eight blocks led Ridgway to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-20) win over visiting St. Marys.

Casey Woodford chipped in with six kills while Kylee Wall had 11 set assists and Nicole Moore eight blocks.

BOYS’ SOCCER

COUDERSPORT 9, KANE 4

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Behind two goals each from Michael Kane and David Kudrick, Coudersport rolled past Kane, 9-4.

Also scoring for the Falcons were Kurt Lefever, Eli Trimbur, Dustin Kudrick, Matthew Ehrensberger and Jon Barroqueiro.

Bryce Schreckengost had the hat trick for Kane, while Hunter Shrubb also scored.

KARNS CITY 7, FOREST AREA 0

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Thanks to a Spenser Myers hat trick, Karns City completed its first-ever unbeaten regular season with a 7-0 blanking of Forest Area.

Jace Ebbitt added two goals for the Gremlins (18-0) with Noah Pollock and Marcus Lantz each scoring once .

WARREN 2, BRADFORD 1

WARREN, Pa. – Bryce McCracken and Connor Guffre each scored to lead Warren to a 2-1 win over visiting Bradford.

Colton Swanson scored for the Owls, who got nine saves from Jack Kellam.

Seth Harrington had nine saves in net to get the win for Warren.

BROCKWAY 6, RIDGWAY 0

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Zane Puhala scored three goals and Jarret Esposito two to give visiting Brockway a 6-0 win over Ridgway.

Anthony Esposito also scored for the Rovers, while Austin Moore recorded the shutout in goal.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

RIDGWAY 6, BROCKWAY 4

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Rylie Casilio’s goal early in the 78th minute broke a 4-all tie, and Ridgway went on to beat visiting Brockway, 6-4, at Johnsonburg.

The Lady Elkers led 3-0 at one time but Brockway rallied off four of the next five goals to tie the game at four.

Casilio then broke the tie and Caitlin Viglione added an insurance marker in the final minute.

Julie Alford added a pair of goals for Ridgway, who also got goals from Cassidy King and Madeline Cowan.

Adrianna Azzato had the hat trick for Brockway with Chanel Britten also scoring a goal.

KANE 1, CLARION 1

CLARION, Pa. – Forest Mills scored a goal for Clarion, as the Lady Cats tied with visiting Kane.

Kane’s goal scorer wasn’t available.

KARNS CITY 8, PUNXSUTAWNEY 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Behind a hat trick from Megan McCartney and two goals from Kaylee Smith, Karns City continued to roll with an 8-0 win over visiting Punxsutawney.

Colette Stahlman, Hunter Dittman and Sydney Turner also scored for the unbeaten Lady Gremlins.
