PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Hannah Lathrop had 11 kills, as Port Allegany beat visiting Austin (25-8, 25-14, 25-16).

Erin Stauffer added 25 digs, Kierra Keck seven kills and 12 digs and Jenna Sprankle 24 set assists for the Lady Gators.

Taylor Brewer had five kills for Austin with Jordan Brewer adding 12 set assists.

DUBOIS 3, CENTRAL MOUNTAIN 0

MILL HALL, Pa. – Danessa Allison and Sydney Kaschalk combined for 19 digs led by 12 from Allison to help visiting DuBois to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-15) win over Central Mountain.

Kelli Hoffer chipped in six service aces, Kylee Bundy had 28 set assists, Allison added 31 digs, Kaschalk contributed four blocks and Kaylee Sadowski 31 digs for the Lady Beavers.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 3, SHEFFIELD 0

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Behind 11 Taylor Newton kills visiting Elk County Catholic earned a split of the season series with Sheffield with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-17) win over the Lady Wolverines.

Josie Smith added six kills for the Lady Crusaders with Maggie Dinsmore contributing 11 set assists.

Taya Bailey had 17 digs for Sheffield, Lexi Lyon three kills and five blocks, Callen Copley five aces, Mya Grubbs 10 set assists and Eliza Davidson 11 digs.

JOHNSONBURG 3, ST. MARYS 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Jensen Furlong’s 10 kills helped visiting Johnsonburg to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-17) win over St. Marys.

Brianna Quiggle added five kills and five digs for the Ramettes who also got five kills and six digs from Skylar Sherry and 12 set assists and nine aces from Rylee Casilio.

KANE 3, RIDGWAY 0

KANE, Pa. – Strong matches from Trinity Clark, Ella Marconi and Hannah Buhl helped Kane sweep past visiting Ridgway, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20).

Clark led the Lady Wolves with 11 kills while adding 12 digs and two aces. Ella Marconi had nine kills, five blocks and three digs and Buhl added 13 digs and 24 set assists.

Also for Kane, Kenda Udovich had four kills and five digs and Audri Marconi three kills and two blocks.

KARNS CITY 3, UNION 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Makayla Waltman and Emily Hegedus combined for 17 kills in a 3-0 (26-24, 25-15, 25-22) Karns City win over visiting Union.

Waltman led the Lady Gremlins with nine kills and Hegedus added eight. Livia Andreasi and Emily Wolfe each contributed five kills, Rayna Miller had four kills, Zoe Bly and Emily Wolfe each chipped in six digs and Alyssa Stitt had 29 set assists.

Hannah Atzeni led Union with 22 set assists with Frankee Remmick leading all hitters with 13 kills. Marli Hawk added 14 digs and Morgan Cumberland three blocks.

REDBANK VALLEY 3, KEYSTONE 2

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On Senior Night, Redbank Valley’s lone senior, Emily Gourley, made sure it would be a happy ending recording 13 kills and seven blocks to help the Lady Bulldogs rally past visiting Keystone, 3-2 (25-19, 24-26, 12-15, 25-21, 15-11).

Josie Rupp also had 13 kills for the Lady Bulldogs while Tara Hinderliter ran the offense with 29 set assists. Kianna Shreckengost chipped in two kills and two blocks.

For Keystone, Danica Hurrelbrink had seven kills, three assists, a block and an ace, Makenzie Byerley added five kills and eight set assists, Tessa Weaver had seven kills and seven blocks, Jenny McConnell had 43 digs and Sydney Easton 16 digs and two aces.

GALETON 3, NORTHERN POTTER 0

GALETON, Pa. – Jenna Hyde and Savannah Herring both had three kills but visiting Northern Potter fell 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-17) to Galeton.

Hyde added eight digs, six set assists and three aces with Herring chipping in two blocks. Also for the Lady Panthers, Kalie Cowburn had 13 digs.

Galeton stats weren’t available.

OTTO-ELDRED 3, OSWAYO VALLEY 0

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Camryn Thomas had nine kills and eight digs to help Otto-Eldred stay unbeaten with a 3-0 (25-7, 25-16, 25-18) win at Oswayo Valley.

Allison Cousins chipped in seven kills, 12 digs and eight aces for the Lady Terrors who also got seven kills and nine digs from Alyssa Shelander, 20 set assists, nine digs and three aces from Emily Smith and five aces from Rame Hulett.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, CURWENSVILLE 0

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Elizabeth Mathews had eight kills and three digs but Curwensville fell, 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-18) to visiting DuBois Central Catholic.

Tarah Jacobson added four kills and seven digs for the Lady Tide with Anna Hoover chipping in three kills and eight digs. Allison Hoover also had nine digs for Curwensville.

DCC stats weren’t available.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 3, BROOKVILLE 1

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Strong outing from Kira Powell, Olivia Pearson and Madison Johnson weren’t enough to help visiting Brookville, which fell, 3-1 (25-9, 13-25, 25-12, 25-21), at Punxsutawney.

Pearson had seven kills, Powell four kills and six aces and Madison Johnson eight aces for the Lady Raiders.

Punxsutawney stats weren’t available.

BOYS’ SOCCER

PORT ALLEGANY 0, BRADFORD 0, 2 OVERTIMES

BRADFORD, Pa. – Strong performances in goal from Evan Schmidt and Josh Mealy assured a scoreless tie between visiting Port Allegany and Bradford.

Mealy made 19 saves for Port Allegany while Schmidt stopped seven balls for Bradford.

BROCKWAY 3, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Brockway, already the No. 1 seed in the District 9 Class 1A playoffs, got goals from Carter Adams, Noah Bash and Elijah Fremer to pick up a 3-0 road win over Elk County Catholic.

Nate Long, Zane Puhala and Bash had the assists for the Rovers.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

CLARION 7, PUNXSUTAWNEY 0

CLARION, Pa. – Alexa Hannold’s hat trick helped lift Clarion to a 7-0 win over visiting Punxsutawney.

Lauren Troutman, Wendy Beveridge, Alish Nagy and Molly Nagy also scored for the Lady Cats.

Beveridge teamed with Cait Murtha for the shutout in net.

FOREST AREA 4, KANE 0

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Mackenzie Bauer’s hat trick led Forest Area to a 4-0 win over visiting Kane at East Forest.

Annah Burke also scored for the Fires, while Glory Wagner had a pair of assists. Abby Gatesman made nine saves to get the shutout in goal.
