CLARION, Pa. – Braden Paulinellie of DuBois is the inaugural D9Sports.com District 9 Player of the Week for the 2016 season after leading the Beavers to a 30-20 win over rival Clearfield in a Week 0 contest Friday night.
Paulinellie, stepping in for injured quarterback Matt Miller, made the Bison miserable with his legs running for 182 yards and three touchdowns while also going 12 of 18 passing for 95 yards. To boot, he added an interception on defense.
Joining Paulinellie in being honored on the Week 0 Honor Roll are 15 additional players.
The Player of the Week and Honor Roll honors will continue through the conclusion of the regular season.
