PIAA Announces 2017 Baseball and Softball Brackets

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The PIAA announced its 2017 baseball and softball brackets Friday.

Five District 9 baseball and six District 9 softball teams will be competing in the tournament, which starts Monday.

Here is a look at the matchups involving District 9 teams.

BASEBALL

All games are Monday, June 5

Class 1A – Full Bracket
9-1 Oswayo Valley vs. 7-3 Union-New Castle, 4:30 p.m. at Berwind Park in St. Marys
9-2 Clarion vs. 5-2 Berlin Brothersvalley, 1 p.m. at Showers Field in DuBois
9-3 Elk County Catholic vs. 7-1 Jeannette, 1 p.m. at Greater Latrobe High School

Class 2A – Full Bracket
9-1 Brookville vs. 5-1 Conemaugh Township, 4:30 p.m. Showers Field in DuBois
