PIAA Announces Times, Locations for Volleyball, Soccer Contests Tuesday

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The PIAA announced times and sites for the opening round of the PIAA volleyball and soccer games being played Tuesday, Nov. 5.

There are four District 9 volleyball teams and five soccer teams in the PIAA postseason.

VOLLEYBALL

Class 1A Bracket • Class 2A Bracket • Class 3A Bracket

In Class 1A, District 9 champion will play District 10 runner-up Saegertown at 7 p.m. at Keystone High School, while District 9 runner-up Elk County Catholic will face District 10 champion Cochranton at 6 p.m. at Meadville High School.

District 9 champion Brookville will take on WPIAL champion Freeport in Class 2A at 6 p.m. at Shaler High School outside of Pittsburgh.

In Class 3A, District 9 champion DuBois will face WPIAL runner-up Thomas Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. at Keystone High School.

SOCCER

Boys’ Class 1A Bracket • Boys’ Class 2A Bracket • Boys’ Class 3A Bracket • Girls’ Class 1A Bracket • Girls’ Class 2A Bracket

In boys’ soccer, District 9 Class 1A champion Brockway will take on WPIAL third-place finisher Springdale at 8 p.m. at Clearfield High School, District 9 Class 2A champion Punxsutawney will face District 5 champion Somerset at 7 p.m. at Windber High School and District 9 Class 3A champion Bradford will take on WPIAL champion Franklin Regional at 8 p.m. at North Allegheny High School in Wexford.

Girls’ soccer will see District 9 Class 1A champion Brockway face WPIAL runner-up Greensburg Central Catholic at 6 p.m. at Clearfield High School and District 9 Class 2A champion Karns City play District 6 champion Bald Eagle Area at 6 p.m. at Varischetti Field in Brockway.
