MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The PIAA Wednesday made some changes to the Thursday second-round basketball schedule moving the venues of two District 9 teams.
Johnsonburg, the second-place team in D9 in boys’ Class 1A, will now play District 6 champion Saltsburg at 7 p.m. at Punxsutawney High School. That game was slated to be played at 6 p.m. at Clearfield Field High School. It is the second location change for the Rams and Trojans, who were originally slated to play Tuesday at DuBois High School.
The Class 2A boys’ game between Coudersport and Greensburg Central Catholic will now take the place of the Johnsonburg vs. Saltsburg game at 6 p.m. at Clearfield High School. That game had been set for 7:30 p.m. at DuBois High School.
The changes were made to accommodate Kennedy Catholic, whose girls’ team is playing Otto-Eldred at 6 p.m. at DuBois High School. The Golden Eagles boys were set to play at Punxsutawney High School vs. Juniata Valley but that game has now been moved to 7:30 p.m. at DuBois High School.
