VOLLEYBALL

COUDERSPORT 3, WELLSBORO 1

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Kiara Perkins recorded a kills/digs double-double to lead Coudersport to a 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-16, 25-13) win over visiting Wellsboro.

Perkins had 10 kills and 18 digs, while Ally Easton added six kills and Macy Gleason five kills, 15 digs and two aces, Skyler Vanwagenen chipped in nine aces and three kills, Joplin Osgood had 36 digs and Haley Keck four aces and two kills for the Lady Falcons.

NORTH CLARION 3, UNION 1

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Despite 19 combined kills from Frankee Remmick, Bryn Davis and Vanessa Reddick, Union dropped a 3-1 (19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23) to visiting North Clarion.

Remmick led the Golden Damsels with nine kills, while Davis and Reddick each delivered five kills. Amy Henry chipped in three aces and Taylor Adams had three kills and three blocks.

Hannah Atzeni ran the offense with 17 set assists and added a team-best 22 digs, while Remmick and Marli Hawk each had 12 digs and Davis 11 digs.

“Overall, we played a tough game,” Union head coach Julie Parks said. “We battled for each point with long rallies. My girls worked hard to come back from deficits in sets two, three and four to make for three close sets.”

North Clarion stats weren’t reported.

In the JV match, North Clarion won 2-0 (25-23, 25-20). Jada Zitzman had eight digs and three aces for Union, while Elizabeth Gruver added two kills.

BOYS’ SOCCER

BROCKWAY 5, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Jarrett Esposito scored twice to pace visiting Brockway to a 5-0 win at DuBois Central Catholic.

Anthony Esposito, Hunter Allenbaugh and Zane Puhala also scored for the Rovers.

BRADFORD 1, FORT LEBOEUF 0

WATERFORD, Pa. – Evan Schmidt made 13 saves, including stopping a first-half penalty kick, to lead Bradford to a 1-0 road victory over Fort LeBouef.

Ian Grady scored a second-half goal off a Mitch Forbes feed for the game’s lone tally.

KARNS CITY 4, GROVE CITY 2

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Behind a pair of Spenser Myers goals, Karns City doubled up visiting Grove City, 4-2.

Jace Ebbitt and Noah Pollock also scored for the Gremlins.

DUBOIS 3, MERCER 2, OVERTIME

DUBOIS, Pa. – Jared Hawkins’ overtime goal, his second of the game, in the 87th minute helped DuBois hold off a comeback by Mercer to claim a 3-2 victory in DuBois.

The Beavers led 2-0 on goals by Hawkins and Carson Hanna but watched as Mercer rallied to force overtime with a pair of second-half tallies.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

BROOKVILLE 4, KEYSTONE 0

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Behind Hannah Kirkwood’s hat trick, Brookville rolled to a 4-0 win over visiting Keystone.

April Hetrick also scored for the Lady Raiders, while Madisyn Wolfe assisted on a pair of goals, and Alissa Watterson made seven saves in getting the shutout in goal.

KARNS CITY 6, REDBANK VALLEY 0

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Megan McCartney scored twice to pace a six-goal Karns City attack in a 6-0 win over homestanding Redbank Valley.

Chelsey Dodd, Alexis Fennell, Hunter Dittman and Alexis Moore also scored for the Lady Gremlins, who led 4-0 at the break.

PORT ALLEGANY 4, SMETHPORT 0

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Autumn Buchsenschutz found the back of the net twice to lead visiting Port Allegany to a 4-0 win at Smethport.

Cailee Barnett and Tara Briggs also scored the Lady Gators.

RIDGWAY 4, KANE 0

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Three different Ridgway player scored, as the Lady Elkers shut down visiting Kane, 4-0.

Katie Dybowski and Madeline Cowan scored first-half goals for Ridgway to give the home squad a 2-0 lead at halftime, and Julie Alford added a pair of second-half tallies. Caitlin Viglione assisted on the Dybowski goal, which started the scoring in the seventh minute.
