VOLLEYBALL
CLARION 3, CLARION-LIMESTONE 0
CLARION, Pa. – Using a strong serve game and a balanced offensive attack, Clarion beat visiting Clarion-Limestone, 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-12).
The Lady Cats had 16 aces led by four from Brenna Campbell and three apiece from Jordan Best, KK Girvin and Korrin Burns.
Campbell added 29 set assists, a kill and three digs while being named the Hager Paving Player of the Game. She talked about the victory.
Clarion’s offense was led by Burns, who had 14 kills with Maddie Schill and Kait Constantino each adding seven kills. Constantino added eight digs.
Ruby Smith had a strong night for C-L with two kills, five digs and a block, while Janelle Pezzuti added a kill and three digs and Brooke Kessler two blocks.
DUBOIS 3, BRADFORD 1
BRADFORD, Pa. – After dropping the first set at Bradford, visiting DuBois rallied to beat the Lady Owls, 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-8).
Sydney Kaschalk led the way with 14 kills with Cayla Donahue chipping in 10 kills. Kaylee Sadowski had five aces and 24 digs, Alayna Cornelius chipped in 23 digs and Cate Gregory had 42 set assists.
CRANBERRY 3, KEYSTONE 1
SENECA, Pa. – Ava Ferringer and Abby Hanna each had nine kills in Cranberry’s 3-1 (26-24, 16-25, 25-20, 25-23) victory over visiting Keystone.
Ferringer also added seven digs and three blocks for the Berries. Maddie Cornelius had a team-high 12 digs while Emily Duncan ran the offense with 30 assists and five kills. Maria Anderson chipped in seven kills and three digs.
Leah Exley paced the Lady Panthers with seven blocks and nine kills. Alexandria Johnston had 12 assists with Alyssa Dunlap adding nine kills.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 3, SHEFFIELD 0
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Behind 17 kills from Taylor Newton, Elk County Catholic swept visiting Sheffield, 3-1 (25-6, 25-16, 25-18).
Brooke Bauer and Madyson Dellaquilla each had five kills for the Lady Crusaders while Ellie Fledderman added 25 assists.
Emily Leichtenberger led Sheffield with four kills, Megan Johnson had 11 assists and eight digs and Annabel Sheldon chipped in three aces.
REDBANK VALLEY 3, VENANGO CATHOLIC 0
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Redbank Valley used a team effort to sweep visiting Venango Catholic, 3-0 (25-4, 25-14, 25-12).
Becca Kunselman led the Lady Bulldogs with seven kills while Brooke Smith had six. Kianna Shreckengost, Brianna Minich and Taylor King each had three kills.
For Venango Catholic, Emmy Ekis had four kills while Hope Winger had two kills and three blocks.
OSWAYO VALLEY 3, NORTHERN POTTER 0
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Oswayo Valley topped visiting Northern Potter, 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-22).
Avaree Kellert had 12 digs, eight kills and a block for the Green Wave. Johanna Dickerson added six kills, six assists and five digs while Macy West had three kills, six digs and five blocks. Mackenzie George ran the offense with 15 assists.
Savannah Herring paced the Lady Panthers with five kills and a block. Courtney Martin had a kill, an assist, a block and 15 digs whole Megan Hyde added four kills and 14 digs.
CAMERON COUNTY 3, SMETHPORT 0
SMETHPORT, Pa. – Mallory McKimm and Morgan Lorenzo each recorded eight kills to lead visiting Cameron County to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-12) win over Smethport.
McKimm also chipped in three blocks while Hailey Hilfiger had seven kills and Reggie Goodworw 14 set assists and four aces.
Alexis Shaw paced Smethport with 11 kills, Chloe Costa had 10 digs and Hayley Durphy seven assists.
A-C VALLEY 3, MONITEAU 0
FOXBURG, Pa. – Behind 10 kills and 14 digs from Meah Ielase A-C Valley swept visiting Moniteau, 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-18).
Mia Sherman added five kills and eight digs, while Andrea Meals had four kills and 12 digs and Hannah Farrington four kills and eight digs.
Tarra Stefanacci and Emily Wetzel ran the offense with Stefanacci contributing 10 assists and four digs and Wetzel seven assists and eight digs.
ST. MARYS 3, JOHNSONBURG 1
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Saige Heigel and Payton Bauer combined for 15 kills to lead St. Marys to a 3-1 (25-16, 16-25, 25-9, 25-21) win over visiting Johnsonburg.
Heigel had a team-best eight kills with Bauer adding seven. Allison Schlimm (45 digs) and Meghan McGonnell (44) digs paced the way for the Lady Dutch defense while Lindsey Reiter had 24 set assists.
OTTO-ELDRED 3, AUSTIN 0
DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Brianna Silvis had 10 kills to help Otto-Eldred beat visiting Austin, 3-0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-19).
Mackenzie Wilcox added 10 digs and two aces and Emilie Reitler chipped in seven digs.
Taylor Brewed led Austin with four kills and three blocks.
DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, CURWENSVILLE 1
DUBOIS, Pa. – Hannah Holdren recorded 11 kills and four blocks to help DuBois Central Catholic to a 3-1 (27-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-15) victory over visiting Curwensville.
Jordy Kosko added eight kills for the Lady Cardinals whole Juliana Stine and Morgan Taylor each had four. Maia Cogley ran the offense with 25 assists and Shayleigh Gulvas had a team-high 37 digs.
Emma Caldwell paced the Lady Tide with 29 assists. Erica Buck tallied 11 kills with Raylee Sunderlin chipping in for seven.
COUDERSPORT 3, PORT ALLEGANY 0
COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Lauren Stimaker had 15 assists, two kills, three digs and an assist to help Coudersport beating visiting Port Allegany, 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-17).
Paige Watson added six kills, three digs, three blocks and an assist for the Lady Falcons, while Claudia Miller had 10 aces and six digs and Emma Saulter 29 digs, an ace and a kill.
Maleah Daniels paced Port Allegany with seven kills and five digs, Jade Evens added five kills and seven digs and Marah Rush had 11 assists and three aces.
BROOKVILLE 3, PUNXSUTAWNEY 0
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – A strong night from Lauren Hergert helped Brookville sweep past visiting Punxsutawney, 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-16).
Hergert had 10 kills and seven blocks to lead the Lady Raiders, while Morgan Johnson and Lead Kammerdeiner each added four kills and Maggie Mackins chipped in three kills and two blocks.
KANE 3, RIDGWAY 0
RIDGWAY, Pa. -Audri Marconi recorded 16 kills and nine digs to lead Kane to a 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23) win at Ridgway.
Sarri Swanson and Kalen Johnson each added seven kills for the Lady Wolves with Sierra Hillman chipping in five kills. Hillman also had three blocks, while JOhnson had four aces and 13 digs.
Emma Ely led the Kane defense with 15 digs, while Moira Stanisch ran the offense with 31 set assists and added nine digs.
BOYS’ SOCCER
PORT ALLEGANY 3, COUDERSPORT 1
COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Thanks to a pair of goals and an assist from Howie Stuckey, visiting Port Allegany left with a 3-1 victory over Coudersport.
Simon Burleson added a goal and an assist for the Gators with Aiden Emerick assisting on one.
Christian Furman had the lone goal for the Falcons.
Ty Guilds had 14 saves for Port Allegany while Coudersport keeper, Roz Page, made six.
BROCKWAY 8, KEYSTONE 0
BROCKWAY, Pa. – A balanced team effort propelled Brockway to an 8-0 victory over visiting Keystone.
Jared Marchiori led the Rovers with a pair of goals and an assist. Noah Bash added a goal and two assists while Dylan Antonuccio, Garrett Park, Eric Young and Jonathan Knox each found the back of the net once.
Lewis Painter and Park split the shutout for Brockway.
KANE 5, ST. MARYS 0
KANE, Pa. – Three goals and a pair of assists from Johnny Feikls helped Kane defeat St. Marys, 5-0.
Aiden Zampogna also scored a pair of goals and a pair of helpers for the Wolves while Ben Westerburg assisted on one.
Alec Huckabone got the shutout win with five saves for Kane.
BROOKVILLE 4, FOREST AREA 2
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Tied at two late, Brookville scored twice in the final three minutes to beat visiting Forest Area, 4-2.
Bryce Kunselman scored off a feed from Zakk Wolfe to break the tie, and Logan Oakes then scored to put the game away. It was Oakes’ second goal of the game and came off a feed from Hayden Kramer.
Oakes also scored the first goal of the game off a pass from Wolfe and Garner McMaster also scored.
Noah Burke scored twice for the Fires including the game-tying tally with just 4:28 to play.
CLARION-LIMESTONE 5, REDBANK VALLEY 2
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Paul Leonhardt had three goals and two assists to help Clarion-Limestone to a 5-2 road win over Redbank Valley.
Beau Verdill added two goals and an assist for the Lions with Bailee Verdill adding a pair of helpers.
Declan Fricko and Anthony Baileys had goals for Redbank Valley.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
CLEARFIELD 6, BELLEFONTE 3
BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Elle Smith found the back of the net six times to help Clearfield over Bellefonte, 6-3.
Smith scored one goal on a penalty kick with Emma Hipps assisting on two. Megan Hamm, Jasmyne Wilbur and Lydia Brown each added an assist.
Mallory Smith paced the Lady Red Raiders with a pair of goals. Mia Johnson also added a goal.
BROCKWAY 8, KEYSTONE 0
BROCKWAY, Pa. – Behind three goals and two assists from Chanell Britten, Brockway shutout visiting Keystone, 3-0.
Danielle Wood also added a pair of goals for the Lady Rovers while Amanda Decker, Emily Botwright and Lilly Sysko each scored once. Morgan Decker and Katie McMeekein each had an assist.
Mackenzie Overbeck made three saves to earn the shutout for Brockway.
ST. MARYS 4, RIDGWAY 1
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Behind three goals from Lauren Eckert St. Marys beat visiting Ridgway, 4-1.
The Lady Dutch also scored on an own goal by Ridgway.
Kaylee Muccio had three helpers in the victory, while Britney Shaw made five saves to get the win before being relieved by freshman Olvia Eckels, who made one save.
Jovana Marzella scored for Ridgway.
REDBANK VALLEY 3, CLARION 1
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Quinn Fricko scored a pair of goals to help Redbank Valley to a 3-1 win over visiting Clarion.
Brooke Eberle added a goal off helpers from Eryn Bailey and Carley Shick for the Lady Bulldogs.
BRADFORD 2, HICKORY 1
BRADFORD, Pa. – Regan Johnson scored twice to help Bradford beat visiting Hickory, 2-1.
Chloe Shaw and Maddi Cowburn had the assists for the Lady Owls.
WEST BRANCH 6, BROOKVILLE 0
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Behind Olivia Straka’s hat trick visiting West Branch beat Brookville, 6-0.
Lauren Timlin added a pair of goals for the Warriors while Trinity Prestash also scored and had three helpers.
