BOYS’ SOCCER
BROCKWAY 8, BROOKVILLE 2
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Jarrett and Anthony Esposito combined to score seven goals, as visiting Brockway beat Brookville, 8-2, Friday.
Jarrett Esposito tallied four goals with Anthony Esposito adding three for the Rovers. Zane Puhala also scored for the Rovers.
GALETON 3, NORTHERN POTTER 1
ULYSSES, Pa. – Galeton grabbed a two-goal halftime lead on its way to a 3-1 win at Northern Potter.
The Tigers got first-half goals from Julian Martinez and Cooper Sunderlin to take a 2-0 lead at the break.
Northern Potter got one of those goals back on a Rebecca Morgan penalty kick after halftime, but Isaiah Shuemaker’s penalty kick goal gave Galeton the two-goal victory.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
KARNS CITY 4, BLACKHAWK 1
KARNS CITY, Pa. – Karns City stepped up in competition, and the results were the same thanks to a 4-1 win over visiting Blackhawk, a 3A school out of the WPIAL.
Haley Scherer had a hat trick to pace the Lady Gremlins, while Collette Stahlman also scored for the unbeaten Lady Gremlins (11-0).
Britney Adrian scored for Blackhawk.
