SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – Thanks to Brockway knocking off previous No. 1 Brookville, there is a new No. 1 in the Sept. 4, 2018, Allegheny Grille of Foxburg D9Sports.com Football Rankings.
Clearfield jumps up one spot to the top spot after the Bison defeated Penns Valley last week, while Clarion (a winner over Moniteau) and Brockway also move up a spot each to No. 2 and No. 3. Brookville, which lost starting quarterback Jack Krug to injury in the 28-25 loss to Brockway, is in at No. 4 with Bradford, who beat St. Marys, holding steady at No. 5.
The back half of the Top 10 sees Redbank Valley (No. 6), Ridgway (No. 7) and Karns City (No. 8) all holding steady. Coudersport is a new entrant into the Top 10 at No. 9 after a win over previous No. 10 Elk County Catholic, and Moniteau drops a spot to No. 10.
Top 10 matchups this week include No. 8 Karns City hosting No. 2 Clarion and No. 7 Ridgway hosting No. 10 Moniteau at Johnsonburg.
