DUBOIS, Pa. – On Tuesday, St. Marys’ Samantha Hayes captured the District 9 Class 2A girls’ tennis singles title by beating Punxsutawney’s Abby Gigliotti, 6-0, 6-0.
Hayes advanced to the championship match by topping Jenna Minard of Elk County Catholic (6-0, 6-0) in the semifinals, while Gigliotti beat Brockway’s Gabby Sabatose (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) in the other semifinal.
