The 16th Annual Clarion Area Volleyball Tournament Being Held Saturday – Games at both Clarion and Keystone

CLARION, Pa. – The 16th annual Clarion Area Volleyball Tournament featuring 21 teams will take place Saturday at both Clarion and Keystone High Schools starting at 8:30 a.m.

The tournament will feature five pools of play, including two at Keystone and three at Clarion.

The top two teams from each pool will advance to the Gold Bracket. Six teams will advance to the Silver Bracket played in the auxiliary gym at Clarion High School and five teams will advance to the Bronze bracket to be played at Keystone. Teams will be ranked within their pools based on overall pool play record. Ties will be determined by (1) overall record, (2) head-to-head and (3) point differential.

In the Gold Bracket, the play-ins and quarterfinals will be one, 25-point game. In the semifinals and finals, it will be the best 2 out of 3 games with the third game being played to 15 points.

All Silver & Bronze Bracket play-in matches will be one, 25-point game. The semifinal and finals will be the best two out of three but with the scoreboard starting at 5-5 instead of 0-0 for the first two games. The third game will be the 15 points starting at 0-0.

In five-team pool play, there will be two games played to 25 with the scoreboard starting at 5-5 and a cap of 27 points.

In four-team pool play, teams will play three games to 25 with the scoreboard starting at 5-5 and a cap of 27 points.
