Notes: Karns City won the last two Class 3A titles before moving down to 2A this year … This is the third meeting of the year between these KSAC South rivals. The teams split with each winning on the other’s home court. Karns City won at Redbank Valley, 83-59, Dec. 12 while Redbank Valley won at Karns City, 64-55, at Karns City Jan. 25.
SIX D9 GIRLS’ TEAMS START ACTION TUESDAY
Six District 9 girls’ teams get their 2019 playoffs underway Tuesday with a pair of quarterfinal contests in Class 1A and one quarterfinal contest in Class 2A.
In Class 1A, fifth-seeded Otto-Eldred tangles with fourth-seeded Cameron County while sixth-seeded Elk County Catholic takes on third-seeded North Clarion.
The Class 2A game features sixth-seeded Keystone vs. third-seeded Port Allegany.
CLASS 1A QUARTERFINALS
No. 6 ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC VS. NO. 3 NORTH CLARION
When and Where: 6 p.m. at Brookville High School
Winner Gets: Winner of Northern Potter vs. Coudersport game

ECC beat North Clarion in 2016 while North Clarion beat the Lady Crusaders last year.
