ROUNDUP: Keystone Volleyball Wins Franklin Tournament; Karns City Girls Soccer Rolls Again

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT/D9) — The Keystone volleyball team downed Titusville, Cranberry and Karns City in the finals to capture the championship at the Franklin Tournament Saturday.

Just to get to the finals, the Panthers had to run a gauntlet.

Keystone bested Oil City, Venango Catholic and Franklin 2-0 before splitting two sets with Mercer to grab the No. 1 seed in the championship round.

A-C Valley 3, Sheffield 2 — Lexi Ruckdeschel had a huge match with 14 kills and 16 digs as the Falcons won 15-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Meah Ielase Alison came up big for A-C Valley with 14 service points, nine kills and 14 digs.

Jenna Stefanacci added nine service points and 20 assists; Keira McVay 10 service points and six assists; Mackenzie Parks nine service points and nine digs; and Bella Ielase 12 digs.

Girls Soccer

McKenna Martin was at it again.

The junior forward scored five more goals as Karns City rolled to an 8-1 win over Hickory.

Emma Dailey added two goals and four more assists and Taylor Miller also found the net for the Gremlins (3-1).

Ally Fennell had two assists and Sarah Dodd also assisted in a goal for Karns City, which hosts Clarion at 7 p.m. Monday.
