10-11 ROUNDUP: Redbank Valley’s Clouse Breaks School’s Single-Season Goal Scoring Record

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT/D9) – Owen Clouse scored four goal and etched his name in the Redbank Valley record books in the process as the Bulldogs won a wild match against Punxsutawney, 8-4, Monday night.

The four goals gave Clouse 34 this year, a single-season school record. He eclipsed the mark of 32 by Keith Ochs, who held the Redbank Valley mark for 20 years.

Clouse also had two assists in the match.

Owen Harmon added three goals for Redbank Valley in the win.

Volleyball

Leah Exley had a strong all-around night with 10 service points, four aces and seven kills to lead the Keystone volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-22 sweep of Franklin Monday night.

Alyssa Weaver had nine assists and also added nine service points, three aces and six digs.

Kennedy Kaye led the defensive effort with 12 digs and also had eight service points for the Panthers (9-3).

Union 3, Forest 0 – The Damsels came up aces in this one.

Union got eight aces from Hailey Kriebel and six aces each from Grace Kindel and Keira Croyle in the 25-11, 25-15, 25-3 sweep of the Fires.

Dominika Logue had a team-leading four kills.

North Clarion 3, A-C Valley 2 – Meah Ielase had 14 kills and 17 digs, but the Falcons lost a heartbreaker to the Wolves, 26-24, 26-28, 25-22, 14-25, 7-15.

Lexi Ruckdeschel had 25 digs, four aces and three blocks, Mackenzie Parks 21 assists and Bella Ielase 10 service points and 17 digs for A-C Valley.

Cranberry 3, Karns City 1 – The Gremlins took the first set, 25-19, but the Berries were too much for the Gremlins in the next three, winning 25-13, 25-11, 25-9 to take the match.

Emma Johns had four kills, four aces, four assists and three digs for Karns City. Ava Fox and Ashley Fox each added three kills and Rosie Carden had two kills, two aces, five assists and four digs for the Gremlins.

Girls Soccer

Emma Dailey scored a pair of goals and McKenna Martin also found the net as Karns City blanked Wilmington, 3-0.

Taylor Miller, Lyrik Reed and Abby Callihan provided assists on the goals for the Gremlins.
